Detailed Description

Heart-pumping adventure and pure relaxation will be in store for you during this luxurious 10-day journey through Scandinavia. During your trip, you will ascend the highest peaks in Norway, traverse the colorful harbor of Denmark, and partake in the Swedish tradition of fika. In Denmark, you will visit the famous Little Mermaid landmark, where the mermaid sits on a rock, waiting for her prince to come back. When your stomach starts to rumble, you will venture to a Michelin-starred restaurant, where you will enjoy a meal that will delight you to no end.

Copenhagen has many architectural marvels from the oldest functioning observatory to the colorful buildings that line the main harbor. Gothenburg is the second-largest city in Sweden, and it consists of a cluster of large canals that stream through the city. You and your guide will traverse the Botanical Garden, which holds the largest tropical orchid collection in Europe. Shortly afterward, you will island-hop across the 20 plus archipelagos that sit along the coastline. The narrow streets and alleys of Stockholm will be full of surprises and architectural wonders from the past.

When you arrive in Norway, you will discover the world’s largest sculpture park in Vigeland Park. The works of art represent the artist’s rendition of the circle of life from birth to death and then rebirth. The Scandinavians sit in the sauna before diving into ice-cold waters because they believe that it will strengthen the immune system, and you will surely feel rejuvenated by the icy plunge. As you hike up to Pulpit Rock, you will observe the 180-degree view before walking across the cobblestones of Gamle Stavanger. Afterward, you will explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bryggen. Your luxurious journey through Scandinavia will soon come to a close, and you can use your last moments to capture some photographs of the incredible scenery the surrounds you.

Sweden, Norway, Denmark Tour Review: 2 Weeks

Zicasso's travel consultant at the tour company was amazing! She was so helpful in the planning stages. She met with us on Zoom several times until we got it right. Our trip was just what we had hoped for and more! During our trip, she was available anytime we had a question, which wasn't often because of the great planning. I would highly recommend the tour company.

This is the second time we have used Zicasso and both times they have connected us to the best travel experts. Highly recommended!

Iceland, Norway Travel Review: Reykjavik, Hallgrimskirkja, Bergen, Flam, Balestrand, Ring Road, Troll Tour, Cider Tasting, 12 Nights

We loved the troll tour of the Ring Road. Our guide was great. It was very active, with some hilly climbs, which were challenging. Most of the tour hotels were good, but there were limited food choices in some locations, especially for vegetarians.

Our hotel in Reykjavík was fun and we enjoyed the restaurant there. The hotel was a bit noisy at night. We found and recommend a local café across from the Hallgrímskirkja as well.

In Norway, we loved our rooms in Bergen, looking out on the water. Our driver there was very nice. We enjoyed the train to Flåm, but wished we’d had two nights in our hotel in Balestrand, as it was exceptional. Food was included and very nice. We might have enjoyed a day tour with a local guide if we’d had more time. The ferries worked well.

Thank you!

Denmark, Norway, Sweden Trip Review: Stockholm, Oslo, Aurland, Bergen, Norwegian Coast, Copenhagen, Tromso, Kirkenes, Munch Museum, Hiking, Art, Nature, 21-Day Trip

We just returned from a three-week trip through Scandinavia. Our trip included stops in Stockholm, Oslo, Aurland, and Bergen, a cruise along the Norwegian coast, and Copenhagen. We are fortunate enough to be able to do two or three international trips a year. This was one of our best trips; a wonderful experience.

We worked closely with Zicasso’s travel designer at the tour company to plan this trip. From our very first contact with her, we found her to be very knowledgeable, with some wonderful ideas. And just as important, she was always super-responsive. The hotels she selected were terrific, the walking tours were very interesting, and our cruise on the cruise boat was unforgettable. We are fussy American travelers and the travel designer was still able to plan a perfect trip. I am already thinking about another trip to book with her and the tour company.

Norway Vacation Review: 1 Week

This was an excellent trip. The planning was easy and Zicasso's travel designer had great ideas that made the trip complete. Once under way, all went well. There was one miscommunication with a service provider that was quickly resolved and made up for.
