Detailed Description

Australia is the land of wide open spaces and active sea life, tropical rainforest, and fun-loving attitudes. Your 10-day vacation will bring you to explore Sydney, Ayers Rock, and Cairns while revealing the connection between the landscape, culture, and charm. Your journey will begin with your arrival in Sydney, known for its relaxed beachside ambiance and cosmopolitan culture. Upon your arrival, your private transfer will escort you to your luxurious hotel that overlooks Sydney Harbour. You will then meet your guide in the lobby to set out on an introductory tour of Sydney’s most visited districts to find beauty in the antique buildings and lively, youthful atmosphere.

The next day, you will delve deeper into the splendor of the city with a guided tour of Sydney’s neighborhoods, bringing you from the harbor to Surry Hills to Bondi Beach. Return to the city center to begin a private exploration of the Sydney Opera House. The following day, you will board a sailboat in the marina and cruise for the day on the harbor, traversing the canals and elegant waterside neighborhoods for which the city is known. Your private transfer will meet you at your hotel the next day to escort you to the airport for your flight to Ayers Rock, located in the Red Center. Your flight will land, and your private transfer will lead you to the comforts of your resort, in view of the towering figure of Uluru. The next day, you will have a trek around the base of the staggering monolith during your guided tour. Find the ancient rock art and tour the visitor’s center to view the art galleries that exhibit local Aboriginal artists. Listen to the tales of Dreamtime while at the boulders of Kata-Tjuta before returning to the resort for the evening.

The next day, you will fly from Ayers Rock to Cairns Airport and your private transfer will collect you. Enjoy the luxuries of your hotel, including a breathtaking view of the shoreline bordered by the Great Dividing Range. Wake the next morning to board your catamaran and set sail to the Outer Reef on a snorkeling excursion and possible scuba diving experience while exploring the brilliance of the Great Barrier Reef. The next day, journey on the scenic Kuranda Skyrail into the rainforest to enjoy the panoramic view from your gondola and discover the charms of Kuranda.

While in town, you can wander through the markets or visit the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary. The next day is at your leisure to delight in the beauty of Cairns or hunt for crocodiles in Daintree National Park. Lounge on the sun-drenched beaches outside of Cairns or visit the Tjapukai Cultural Center for an immersive look at the heritage of the Aboriginal in the rainforest. Conclude as your private transfer will meet you at your hotel and escort you to Cairns Airport with plenty of time to board for your flight home.

Australia Travel Review: Melbourne, Tamborine Mountain,...

I would use our travel company again in a minute! Zicasso's travel consultant really “got me” and designed the perfect trip for us.

The highlights especially included picking perfect places for us to stay (close to most everything we were doing and in the heart of the cities). The tours, both private and small group, gave us not only what we asked for, but even more that we didn’t know existed.

The itinerary was as detailed as it could possibly be, describing the day, what to bring, names and phone numbers to call if there were issues, and who we needed to call to confirm future tour dates.

One of our highlights was the penguin experience. Our guide was great and our trip planner got us “plus” tickets, which I would definitely recommend. Finally, she provided us with the necessary info and guides (where necessary) for our amazing hikes.

Zicasso's travel specialists were fantastic! They provided excellent and unique recommendations. As a traveler seeking adventure and outdoor experiences, they completely understood my needs. Additionally, all accommodations were high quality, communication was very clear, and pricing was reasonable. I would strongly recommend them to anyone traveling to Australia/New Zealand.

Australia, New Zealand Trip Review: Tasmania, Rotorua, Uluru,...

We absolutely loved so much of our trip! My kids’ (ages 11 and eight) favorite activities were luging in Rotorua, NZ, and the sunset camel ride in Uluru, AU, while my husband and I were enchanted by Hobbiton and enjoyed exploring a glowworm cave with the owner's father! We all loved Tasmania.

There were a few hiccups. However, we were very happy with all the support the Zicasso travel company's team provided in real time to help us get back on track.

The overall trip was fantastic. My husband and I appreciated having the team support our adventures, both the highs and the lows. The team members were detailed-oriented. This trip exceeded our expectations and we’re incredibly grateful for their expertise in curating such memorable experiences.

Australia Trip Review: Sydney, Uluru, Kakadu, Freycinet...

Zicasso's tour planner did a superb job for us. She collaborated with us on working out our itinerary and had useful information on how to combine our desired destinations efficiently.

While we were in Australia, she was available via the company's app, including helping us on a late evening when our flight from Sydney to Hobart was canceled because of a cyclone and we needed a short-notice hotel in Sydney.

Zicasso's travel company and our agent's team were phenomenal and very supportive, even when certain events were out of their control. They made everything on my trip to Australia simple, with excellent accommodations and activities laid out for me. They restored my faith in travel agencies and trip advisors. I would highly recommend Zicasso's trip coordinator. He planned an excellent and very enjoyable trip for us (a family of five, including two teenage boys). He was very easy and accommodating to work with. The trip went smoothly and we have many great memories.
