Our Gorilla Trekking Safari Travel Specialists

Both of our guides in Ghana, and in Togo and Benin, were excellent. They not only followed the itinerary, but they added activities that were of interest to us. They were competent, enthusiastic, and very well informed. Our driver was a great support.
On our last day, which was on our own, he offered to drive us to the places we wanted to go and then delivered us to the airport. One of our guides surprised us on the last day and joined us for our final activities, even though we had said our goodbyes the week before when we left Ghana.

I think Zicasso’s travel specialist did a fantastic job and oversaw everything, so we felt comfortable. We had a few incidents that were not pleasant, as in Jordan, with security holding us up going in/out, as we had binoculars that were not in our checked bags. They were really snotty at the border when we were leaving.
We also had a problem in Abu Simbel when our greeter person took us to the site. The guide was late and, once he showed up, we knew he could not go into the monuments. When we came out the first time, he was nowhere to be seen. He showed up 10 minutes later. When we came out of the second monument, again he was nowhere to be seen. Then, before the departure, he disappeared again. When people tell me they will be at a certain location and they are not there, it is disturbing.
Our professional Egyptologists at the museum, pyramids, and on the Nile were all fantastic. The driver in Jordan was always on time and did a good job. The car was small and cramped, but we liked the driver and he did a good job. All went smoothly in Jordan.
We got out the day before the bombing and were in Cairo that morning, so we did not have to deal with the war. It did make us nervous being in Egypt and we left a day early, but got home safely.
Overall, the sites were amazing and it flowed pretty smoothly, but would not have done so without the travel specialist checking in with us each day, and especially after the bombing started. I have used Zicasso three or four times and will continue to do so.

From our initial conversation to finalizing the itinerary and final preparations, Zicasso’s travel consultants have been fantastic to work with. They kept in contact with us during our trip to ensure everything was to our liking, including the last-minute scheduling of car transport when one of our bush planes was canceled due to low clouds.
As for the itinerary and the hotel/lodge/safari recommendations, all were exceptional and offered something different to experience. Our entire trip, from start to finish, was exceptional, with great locations, great safari experiences, and wonderful food.

As you know, we had difficulty deciding between Zicasso's travel specialists for this trip.
As it turned out, the specialist we went with and his team did an exceptional job planning and executing all the details necessary for a memorable trip for me and my family.
I really appreciated how detail-oriented he was and how responsive he was to inquiries pre-trip and, when necessary, during the trip.
He deserves the highest recommendation from the experienced travelers that we are.

Our trip was incredible. The guides were excellent, especially our guide with 30 years of experience. We were very thankful to have everyone who guided us at the airports, especially in Nairobi, which we would not have been able to get through without their help. The assistance in Zanzibar was very helpful, as one of us did not have a visa yet. We appreciated the guidance and patience from the Zicasso team.

Out of my many vacations this one was by far the most amazing experience I have ever had.  This travel company listened to what I wanted and exceeded my expectations. The camps we stayed at went above and beyond when it came to guest service and the drivers and Masai guides showed not only their knowledge in safari trekking but gave us an insight into their beautiful and innocent lifes... I did not want to leave.

We had an amazing trip, planned by Zicasso's travel partner. This is the first time I've ever used a travel agent and I'll admit, I was nervous. She took all of our feedback into consideration while planning. I highly recommend!

The trip was absolutely wonderful. Thanks to our travel planner and guide, we were able to fit so much adventure into 12 days. Communication was always prompt and our planner quickly answered all of our questions leading up to and during the trip. The transfer from our Kenya guide to our Uganda guide was seamless. We had an issue with logistics in the last few days, but our planner helped us solve it quickly.
The only thing I would suggest they do differently: Our communication leading up to the Uganda portion of the trip was with the operations manager. We didn't meet our guide (or know they weren’t the operations manager) until the morning we left for Kibale. It would have been nice to have some communication with our guide beforehand as there were a couple of things on the itinerary (prepared by the manager) that our guide seemed not to know anything about, namely a game drive in Queen Elizabeth Park.
