The trip was fantastic - everything went smoothly and was efficient and as detailed in our itinerary. Melanie was very thorough - even setting up a briefing call for us to review the itinerary and details. She checked in frequently on various forms and requirements, as well as when we were in-country.

Dan and Mandy from the travel agency are absolutely incredible to work with. We reached out for help planning our honeymoon. We didn't reach out in the most timely fashion and were incredibly stressed with wedding planning when we did. I had 1 conversation with Dan and that was all he needed to put together our absolute dream honeymoon. He somehow read my mind in ~20 minutes, made us feel incredibly comfortable traveling to a part of the world we had never been and immediately put us at ease that we were in good hands. Dan and Mandy helped us with every single step to make sure we were prepared for the trip so we could simply relax and enjoy it. They answered multiple rounds of questions and were flexible while providing their input as we finalized the details of our trip. Every detail was handled while we were on our trip and it felt like we had really good friends (with incredible taste in travel that we look up to) on the journey with us. We cannot recommend using the travel team to book your trip enough - these guys will be dealing with us for decades to come.

If you are considering an outfitter to plan a trip to Africa, I cannot express strongly enough how much you should consider this travel agency! I just returned from a 2-week “trip of a lifetime” safari that was originally scheduled to start one-week before the global lockdown. My travel planner had created the most incredible trip to Tanzania to see the Serengeti and then to Rwanda to see the mountain gorillas. I was not sure how they would be able to handle the lock-down given the unknowns of travel for an unknown period of time. The long-term nature of this travel company's relationships with their vendors coupled with the professionalism and integrity of their company resulted in the trip being rescheduled (a few times) without really any increase in costs and at the same exceptional accommodations and itinerary. The camps I stayed at were exquisite (5 star) and gave me such a personal feel of different ways to experience the Serengeti. The personal guides in both Tanzania and Rwanda were beyond my expectations in their knowledge, passion, and dedication to supporting an exceptional client experience. Additionally, this travel company demonstrated at every step of the trip their personal commitment to ensure I felt safe and secure (given Covid concerns/requirements and unfamiliarity with the countries), and supported 24/7 with every question, no matter how small or large. I hope to return to Africa again… and I would ONLY use this travel company. Please consider them… and just give them a call. From the very first contact, I knew this was the company with whom I wanted to build my trip of a lifetime adventure.

The trip was absolutely wonderful. Thanks to our travel planner and guide, we were able to fit so much adventure into 12 days. Communication was always prompt and our planner quickly answered all of our questions leading up to and during the trip. The transfer from our Kenya guide to our Uganda guide was seamless. We realized an issue with logistics on the last few days a few days into our flight and our planner helped us solve it quickly. The only thing I would suggest they do differently: Our communication leading up to the Uganda portion of the trip was with the operations manager. We didn't meet our guide (or know that it wasn't the operations manager) until the morning we left for Kibale. It would have been nice to have some communication with our guide beforehand, as there were a couple things on the itinerary (prepared by the manger) that our guide seemed not to know anything about (namely a game drive in Queen Elizabeth park).

Our trip was spectacular- everything we hoped it would be. Originally planned for 2020 and postponed twice, our travel advisor, Andre, was incredibly helpful, flexible, and patient. My husband and I travelled with our daughter, son-in-law and 2 teenage grandkids. It was a great mix of history, adventure, local cuisine, and a safari the was beyond all expectations.

Our honeymoon trip to Kenya and the Seychelles was seamless thanks to this travel company. Diana was extremely knowledgeable about the safari experience and the camps and made great suggestions about how to split our time. Every transfer was planned out, making the trip stress-free at every step of the way. Diana and Nell were extremely responsive and professional throughout the whole booking process.

Our trip to Africa was fantastic, and could barely be improved upon. My wife and I went to Rwanda and Uganda for mountain gorilla trekking, then to Tanzania for safari game drives in Tarangire NP, Serengeti NP and Ngorongoro NP, and finished up in Zanzibar for swahili cooking class, snorkeling and a spice plantation tour. The trip was organized by a travel planner at this travel company. After sending our ideas to our travel planner, we worked back and forth for a week or so to fine-tune our trip itinerary to include the things that we wanted to do, which involved seeing as much wildlife as possible. My wife loves monkeys and I am a birdwatcher, so we made sure that there was plenty of both in our itinerary. Our travel planner was very organized and great to work with. She even met us in Arusha with her husband, to say "Jambo" hello. Our guides were both great guys, very knowledgeable of the birds, wildlife and culture that we saw. This travel company is highly recommended and we would use them again if we traveled to Africa.
Travel Review: Africa Safari, Uganda & Rwanda, Gorilla Trek, Local Culture, History & Politics
If you’re looking for the next generation of East African tourism, you’ve found it in this travel company. The owner and guide sets the bar high in luxury travel. My husband and I just returned from our 14 day adventure with this travel planner as our tour guide with driver. While we went in search of gorillas and golden monkeys we came home with real life real life experiences of culture, people, politics and the rich and complicated histories of Uganda and Rwanda. Our photograph album will only tell part of the story. What can’t be captured by the photographs is our travel planner's attentiveness to every detail, our shared laughter, contagious excitement we all felt when we finally discovered the hidden away group of lions and the connection with our planner when he shared stories about his own growing up in Uganda. We had the usual trip highlights that other reviewers describe but for us some of the most memorable moments happened when we detoured from “the plan“ and took a “side road”. One example was when our planner took us to his beloved primary school and introduced us to his 97-year-old teacher who he visits regularly in her home which was his former school. This tender interaction demonstrated his caring nature which he applies with passion on behalf of his guests. Another side road adventure took place when we passed a Hot Springs. This crowded spring is the gathering point where throngs of people seek therapeutic relief found in the magical water. This spontaneous activity provided us with education, laughter and a true look at the community. Finally, on our last day our planner surprised us with a plan to have lunch at the hotel featured in the movie Hotel Rwanda. He knew how moved we had both been by the film which tells the story of the horrors of the genocide that took place in Rwanda. One thousand people were saved in this hotel. Lunch, overlooking the beautiful countryside, was a stark contrast to the genocide museum that we visited later that day. Any review of this company needs to also shine a spotlight on our driver, who safely drove over some frightening roads and kept us safe for 14 days. But this driver is much more than a driver. He is also a highly educated man with many years in the travel industry and offered a perfect counterbalance to our planner's talents. As a traveler this industry is exploding and you have many options. We would recommend that you place a winning bet and choose this company and it’s owner. He indeed is a rising star with a vision and a plan to deliver the best customer service possible.
