Family-Friendly Tour to Spain and Portugal in December

This morning, you can indulge in a private tour of the city’s top neighborhoods and destinations. During your tour, your family will be guided through the central district of Madrid, the Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, and the Mercado San Miguel. At the market, you can sample the finest Spanish delicacies, from jamon iberico to churros con chocolate. Once you have had your fill of the market, you will transfer to the bohemian neighborhood of Malasaña. You will then have the rest of the afternoon to relax at your hotel or to explore Madrid on your own before transferring to a Christmas market.

After breakfast, you will embark on another exciting day of exploring. Madrid is renowned for being home to several of Spain’s most highly acclaimed museums, and today, you can indulge in a private tour of the Thyssen, Prado, or Reina Sofia museums. The choice will be up to you, and after your tour, you will be led to the nearby Parque del Retiro, which is Madrid’s park in the heart of the city. In the evening, you will attend a soccer match, which will prove to be much more energetic than they are in the US.

This morning, you will transfer to Barcelona via high-speed train. Upon your arrival in the seaside city, your driver will greet and transfer you to your luxurious accommodation. When you are ready, your guide will lead you on a private tour of some of Barcelona’s most iconic sites and neighborhoods. Your tour will begin at the world-renowned La Sagrada Familia cathedral. Once your visit to La Sagrada Familia concludes, you will visit some of the city’s other noteworthy sites, such as Las Ramblas, Mercado de La Boqueria, and the Gothic Quarter.

You will begin the day with a tour of Park Guell. This morning, you will fly to Lisbon. Upon your arrival, your driver will greet and transfer you to your opulent accommodation in the Alfama neighborhood. Your guide will curate a special tour of the city that you can indulge in whenever you are ready. To begin, you will likely be guided through the Alfama neighborhood while your guide offers insight into the history of the area. As your tour continues, you will sample pastel de nata. In the evening, you will attend a Fado performance that will be accompanied by an authentic Portuguese meal.

Today, you will enjoy your final breakfast in Portugal. After breakfast, you will have an hour or two at your leisure to explore the city one last time. Soon, you will have to transfer to the airport for your flight home.
