Exhilarating Adventure to Barcelona & Madrid Tour

Our trip was fantastic. The guides were excellent. The Madrid wine tour guide was excellent, our guide for the walking tour of Barcelona was excellent, our guide for the walking tour of Madrid city was excellent, and our guide for Tarragona and Sitges was excellent. We were so pleased with all the tours that I will not change anything for our next trip with you guys. I appreciate your company and the way you handle things. The owners of Zicasso’s tour company were amazing from start to finish. They curated a custom trip for us to Barcelona, Madrid, Seville, Málaga, Toledo, and Granada. They listened to our requests and came up with a brilliant itinerary that included personal drivers, hotels, dining recommendations, and tour guides. They were also so quick to respond to our questions and pivot our plans when needed. This was a very special 30th-anniversary trip for us and they knocked it out of the park.

The recommended activities were amazing for our trip.

We started in Madrid, then went to Toledo, Seville, Córdoba, and Barcelona. Highlights for my kids (15, 13, and 13) were the cathedrals, mosque, cooking class, walking tapas tour and e-bike tour.

All of our drivers and tour guides were prompt, knowledgeable, and listened to our preferences.

The hotels in Madrid and Seville were perfection and located close to major areas.

The only reason I gave the trip four instead of five stars was that the travel company made a mistake booking our hotel in Barcelona. We found out the night before that our hotel was switched and the new hotel was not in the best area and far from major attractions. The company did offer to reimburse us for taxis and sent us a gift and apology letter. However, I would have preferred to book my own hotel in Barcelona but the day before it was too late for me to research and change the hotel. That particular experience marred what was an otherwise fantastic trip.

Zicasso’s travel agent was extremely helpful in planning an interesting and informative trip through Barcelona, Madrid, and Andalusia. She and her colleague checked in with us on a regular basis to ensure we were set for the daily activities. We were paired up with excellent tour guides throughout the trip.

Our trip to Spain was wonderful. We visited Valencia, Madrid, Granada, and Toledo. The Zicasso tour company and our agent did an exceptional job planning our journey and making sure we were taken care of at each stop, from arrival to departure. 

Our agent was very attentive and responsive. We find this helps things run more smoothly while in a foreign country with a foreign language. She even went above and beyond in helping to ensure I had some extra pampering while in Spain. She was able to book two salon appointments for me in two different cities! This was so appreciated, as the language barrier can make this very difficult for me to do on my own. 

Our guides were exceptional. We had the perfect combination of guided tours and free time. We learned so much about Spain's history and culture.

Zicasso's travel specialists did a great job for us. They clearly listened to us and curated an experience that was made specifically for us. It checked all of the boxes and more.

Highlights were the local tour guides in each city. It was great to meet and get to know local people, learn so much history, see the architecture (Gaudí in Barcelona and the awesome palaces and cathedrals that we visited), the Montserrat hike, Caminito del Rey (which was absolutely better with a guide), and the Marbella e-bike adventure.

The hotels were wonderful; all unique and all great choices. We came home happy and tired, which is the sign of a good trip for us (since we do not ever sit on beaches or at pools and relax!).
