Detailed Description

You will discover during your one-week family tour of Cuba that the beauty of the island stems from historic cities, classic cars, its luscious landscape, and stunning coastline. During your custom-tailored Cuba vacation, your family will have an immersive cultural experience and learn about the remarkable history of Havana and the deeper heritage of Cuba. You also be led into the tropical wilderness and surprising terrain of the countryside, where limestone mogotes tower over the valley floor, providing a fascinating perspective of contemporary life on the Caribbean island.

Your marvelous and exciting adventure to Cuba will begin when your family arrives at the Jose Marti International Airport in Havana, where your private transfer will meet you at customs. Your three nights in Havana will focus on culture and history to allow your family to experience the splendor of the old city through various lenses, including traversing the streets of the entire city in a classic 1950s American automobile. You will have private tour guides to escort you through the timeline of historical and contemporary life in Havana, leading you along remnants of Spanish architecture. On your immersive and interactive tours, you will discover new and interesting ways by which to enjoy your time in Cuba by taking an art class, visiting the Revolution Museum, or listening to rumba as it emanates from the restaurants.

Outside of Havana, you will have two nights in Vinales for an exceptional excursion into the fascinating scenery marked by the likes of limestone mogotes and cliffs that soar above the floor of the eponymous valley. You will have time to visit a local tobacco farm, where you will learn about the history, trends, and skill required to produce the crop. After your tour, you will wander around the natural wonders of the rising ridges that lead to the Mural de la Prehistoria.

Within the grandeur of the glowing countryside, you will have the opportunity to soar through the sky above the valley and through the nearby jungle canopy on a ziplining excursion. During this adventure, you will also discover much of the incredible wildlife and wilderness protected in Parque Nacional la Guira bio-reserve. Before returning to Havana, you will stop at the ecovillage Las Terrazas for a kayaking tour along the placid water of one of the scenic lakes and for a visit to the former home of Ernest Hemingway, which has become a museum that offers insight into the private life and working habits of the award-winning American writer.

Cuba Vacation Review: Salsa Lesson, 6 Nights

This trip was well worth every penny. Zicasso's tour operator was amazing and paid attention to every last detail. Our drivers and guide were so good. They knew exactly what we needed and wanted, and made sure the trip was perfect every single day. I know this sounds like I am gushing and that it couldn't have been this good, but it truly was!

Cuba Anniversary Vacation Review: Havana, Cienfuegos, Trinidad,...

Our Zicasso travel expert did a great job making all of our arrangements and making changes as needed while we were in Cuba. Our local guide and driver were excellent. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, very patient, and so gracious. Our driver took good care of us too. The guest house in Havana was amazing. The guest house in Trinidad was mediocre. The guest house in Varadero was in a great location and just fine. We loved the itinerary. The activities were diverse, interesting, and fun. We could not believe the VIP treatment we received everywhere we went – the dance school, the cabaret venue, restaurants, etc.

What a wonderful trip! Zicasso's travel agent and her team were outstanding. The trip was well planned to visit the popular Cuban cities and towns, and included a personal trip to where my son's father was born. All the tours were great. Thank you to our guide and drivers! The accommodations, restaurants, and entertainment were terrific.

Cuba is a fascinating country. Zicasso's travel agent was honest and “real” from beginning to end. Having both an amazing tour guide and driver truly made the trip even better. We had a few hiccups that the tour guide, along with our agent, took care of immediately.
