Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 :
Independent arrival at hotel. Enjoy a welcome cocktail, dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 2 :
After buffet breakfast, depart for Siracusa and visit the archaeological area including the famous Latomie of the Paradise and the Dyionisios “Ear”. Continue to the island of Ortigia, historical centre of the city. Lunch on your own. Visit of the Cathedral and Arethuse fountain. Depart for Ragusa and accommodation at Hotel. The evening will be dedicated to a fascinating visit of the historical centre of Ibla and a dinner at a famous restaurant with a Sicilian menu. Overnight.
Day 3 :
After buffet breakfast, depart for Caltagirone, famous centre of Sicilian ceramics production. Continue to Piazza Armerina and visit the worldwide known Villa Romana del Casale. Lunch in a local restaurant with a special menu. Depart for Agrigento and visit the Valley of the Temples. Accommodations at hotel and dinner at your hotel. After dinner take an unforgettable tour of the Valley of the Temples by night.
Day 4 :
After buffet breakfast depart for Palermo. Accommodations at hotel. Time at leisure and lunch at your own. In the afternoon visit Monreale and visit the Cathedral, one of the most beautiful monuments in the world, aswell as the Benedictine Cloister in Arab-Norman style. Continue to the historical centre of Palermo, one of the largest of Europe (including the Cathedral, the Palatine Chapel, and the Royal Palace). Accommodation at your hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5 :
After buffet breakfast, depart for Segesta to admire the Temple and the Theatre surrounded by a suggestive landscape. Continue to the medieval village of Erice placed on the top of a hill, and walk in its tiny and characteristic streets. Lunch on your own. Proceed to Trapani viewing the salt windmills still working. Return to Palermo. Dinner at a local restaurant. Accommodation at your hotel.
Day 6 :
After buffet breakfast, depart for Cefalù and visit the Arab Norman Cathedral. Enjoy a walk in the streets of the small village and continue to the Park of “Nebrodi”. Stop at the Miraglia Forest for lunch with a typical menu. Continue to Cesarò, Randazzo and visit the Etna Park from an unusual point of view, the North part of it. Indescribable landscapes will appear under your eyes. Arrival in Giardini Naxos, dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 7 :
After breakfast, full day at leisure in one of the most famous Mediterranean resorts. Enjoy this free day by walking in the streets of Taormina placed on a position which has inspired a lot of artists. For those who will be interested, possibility of an optional excursion to the Mount Etna (till 1800 meters or ascent to 3000 meters). In the evening enjoy a farewell dinner at your hotel.
Day 8 :
After buffet breakfast at your hotel you will be transferred to airport for return flight to U.S.A.
