9 day Turkey Vacation featuring Istanbul & Bodrum

Day 1 – Arrival day to Istanbul
Welcome to Turkey. Arrive in Istanbul Airport or Port , meet by our representative and private transfer to the hotel for overnight stay in Istanbul.

Day 2 – Istanbul
After breakfast you will depart for a full-day tour of Istanbul. We will drive to the Old City to visit Topkapi Palace, the main residence of the Ottoman Sultans, with its jewel encrusted treasury and elegant four courts. Next visit the famous Hagia Sophia Museum, once the largest church in the world for 1000 years. After lunch, visit the Blue Mosque, designed with 6 delicate minarets and a striking blue Iznik tiled interior. Nearby, take a stroll through the site of the ancient Hippodrome, once the sporting ground of chariots and political riots, and see the Egyptian Obelisk, Serpentine Column and Fountain of Wilhelm II. Finally, visit the Grand Bazaar, where you can shop or haggle with local merchants over unusual antiques, colorful spices, beautiful jewelery and richly textured fabrics.(B)

Day 3 – Istanbul to Bodrum
After breakfast you will be transferred to Istanbul Airport for your flight to Bodrum. Upon arrival you will be on your own to discover this lovely city, located on a peninsula of the same name, was a fishing village until the 1970s. It is now a lively tourist resort with a long history. The coastline is attractive and the centerpiece is the 15th century crusader Castle of St.Peter Greeks, Persians and Ottomans settled here from the 11th century BC onward. It’s greatest glory was under Mausolus, who ruled under the Persians in the 4th century BC. When he died his wife Artemisia employed architects and sculptors to construct a monument and tomb for him. It was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient world and gave us the word mausoleum. Alas most of the monument is long gone. A few stones remain. Overnight in Bodrum. ( B )

Day 4 – Bodrum
Free day at leisure to explore the city on your own. (B)

Day 5 – Bodrum
Free day at leisure to explore the city on your own. (B)

Day 6 – Bodrum
Free day at leisure to explore the city on your own. (B)

Day 7 – Bodrum
Free day at leisure to explore the city on your own. (B)

Day 8 – Bodrum to Istanbul
Today you have your flight back to Istanbul. Upon arrival in Istanbul Airport you will be met by our representative and private transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free at your leisure.Overnight stay in Istanbul.(B)

Day 9- Departure from Istanbul
Departure transfers by FLO USA representative to Istanbul Airport for your International flight back to USA. (B)
