We had a phenomenal experience from start to finish! My husband and I worked with our travel partner from Zicasso to book our honeymoon trip to Italy. We were connected with her immediately after inquiring about our trip. We spoke over the phone about what we were looking for: a few days on the Amalfi Coast to relax and get the seaside vibes, then Rome and Florence for more of a cultural experience. She totally nailed the vibe and worked with us extensively to ensure we stayed within our budget.
Through multiple iterations of our proposal, we landed on the perfect itinerary, with time to relax and explore (she even helped us add an additional day to our trip at the last minute with no hesitation).
The hotels she recommended were top-notch and the experiences priceless. From the private drivers to the boat tours, everyone went above and beyond in their service. We had the trip of a lifetime and I couldn't recommend Zicasso and our travel agency more!

We could not have done this trip without the help of our travel agent and her team. We took my mom to Sicily for the first time, and it was such a remarkable experience. We had many adventures we would not have been able to come up with on our own. The level of detail Zicasso’s agents put together was well worth it. The itinerary was a mix of activity and downtime, perfect for a mom in her 70s!
We were very happy with the adjustments they made based on our requests. We were able to fit in a few things on the fly, making for a very customized experience.

We loved finally seeing Italy (at least parts of it) and would love to see more. The time change and jet lag were a little rough on our two kids, but they adjusted and had a great trip.
The history in Rome was so impressive and we learned a lot. The guided tours were excellent. Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast were beautiful and a nice change of pace from Rome. We also loved visiting Pompeii. Of course, there was great food, wine, and lots of gelato.
Though the weather is fickle, spring seems to be a great time to visit as it isn't crowded like the summer and definitely not hot. Private or small group guided tours are the way to go to smoothly see sites and be educated. It was lovely taking the train to Naples as well. The only big change I think we would make is passing on the winery near Vesuvius. It was great to check out an Italian winery, but not this one. They kept us waiting a long time for a tour and lunch. The tour was lame and short, lunch was just ok, and the wine was mediocre. However, one bright spot was that the estate made red wine vinegar, which was delicious, and we were able to buy a few bottles.
Working with Zicasso’s tour company was a pleasure. Our travel agent really paid attention to what we were looking to do and our family style, and she arranged a great itinerary. The hotel choices were really nice and perfect for our needs. There were a couple of scheduling hiccups on the trip and the tour company’s responsiveness and efforts to help were fantastic.

Zicasso’s tour operator exceeded all of our expectations. We knew we wanted to go to Italy to eat good food, drink good wine, and sightsee, but had no idea where to start with the planning. We told the Zicasso team our very broad plan and they whipped up an itinerary that hit four great cities in an order we felt was perfect.
That had us starting in Venice, which felt small in scale and manageable, then to Florence, a bit bigger, then Rome as the third stop, and by then, we felt ready for the bustle of a bigger city, with the last stop in Sorrento/Amalfi Coast, which was a serene and gorgeous backdrop. A perfect way to end our 11-night tour of Italy – an amazing city by the sea!
We went for almost all of their suggested activities in each city and they all completely blew us away. The trip was well paced, with one activity per day (a tour of the local galleries or a walking tour of the city, etc), and that was perfect for us. We were so grateful for these bookings because they gave us a sense of the history of each place and made us appreciate it all the more. And we loved that we didn’t have to parse through tons of websites and review each one to determine who to pick – that was all done for us!
Zicasso’s travel company uses excellent vendors. Every tour guide and driver we encountered was incredibly knowledgeable and personable, and we really enjoyed spending time with each one. Every hotel was a winner, from the charming B&Bs to the larger hotels. We have virtually nothing negative to report. They also recommended many great restaurants in each city and booked dinner reservations at our request, which took a lot of stress off us since we don’t speak Italian!
Our tour operators created a WhatsApp group and were available whenever we needed them throughout the trip, answering our messages within minutes if we had a quick question about anything. They were also very communicative via email during the planning process leading up to our trip.
I really can’t say enough good things about the entire experience with Zicasso’s tour operator. We will recommend them to anyone we know who’s planning an Italy trip!

Zicasso’s travel agents were very diligent and very respectful in organizing a fabulous trip. Our hotel in Brussels was amazing, our hotel in Tenerife was very subpar. As a result, we switched hotels and found a much better one, and they were good enough to make arrangements to get our money back from the previous hotel. The hotel in Madrid was amazing and the tours were very good. I think the communication was excellent, as they had a person on call at all times to respond to us.

I can’t begin to express how grateful I am to Zicasso’s travel agent and her company. I began the process of planning this trip over a year ago. She walked me through every step and was very patient with me as I changed the itinerary. We had two pre-departure meetings, which were very helpful. Our agent had every detail well planned out and basically organized a dream vacation for my mom and me. It was all well balanced between the touristy sights, off-the-beaten-path experiences, and having time getting lost in the streets. Physically I'm back home, but mentally I'm still in Italy living la dolce vita.

Our Zicasso travel agent planned a one-week trip to Italy for my family of four that included two young teens (12 and 14). We traveled to Venice, Florence (with side trips to Bologna and San Gimignano), and Rome (with a side trip to Pompeii). At each location, we had guides to teach us about the history of the places visited. My feedback is extremely positive and I would recommend this travel agency. Generally speaking, I would commend them for the following:
Excellent communication before and during the trip;
Excellent support during the trip;
Access to top-notch guides;
Access to special experiences; and,
They completely removed the need for me to research on my own. I trusted our travel agent and was not disappointed.

This was our first trip to Italy and it was exactly as we had hoped for – a perfect balance of some wonderful tours, as well as carefully guided self tours to allow our own exploration of Rome and Florence. Zicasso’s travel company checked in daily and offered support and reminders. It was a wonderfully planned trip.
