Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

Extremely well organized trip. Our tour guides really added a personal touch and took us to some great local restaurants and also made suggestions to the itinerary that would be less touristy. They did not hesitate to extend their day in order to complete our experience. The team at our travel agency were very receptive to our interests and created a perfect vacation,

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

We had some outstanding lunches, in some cases with not a tourist in sight. The port and wine tastings were all excellent, the Douro Valley was stunning and the boat ride on the Douro Valley was breathtaking. An impromptu visit to Monsaraz was really memorable.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

The only change would be to not stay in the barrel room at Quinta da Pacheco. The meal there was also horrible, extremely slow service and I would not go back. Otherwise it was fantastic.
