Review: European Family Vacation, Croatia, Slovenia, Zagreb, Zadar, Korcula, Lake Bled, Postojna Cave, Winery Tour, Cruise

Zagreb is a charming and walkable city.  The hotel was great and at a wonderful location and our driver and guide were an excellent driver and guide team.  We had a most memorable afternoon with an unscheduled visit at the winery to peek at their operations which turned into a couple of hours of tasting wine, looking at old family photos and hanging out with the owner and his dog.  

Our driver to Bled was a retired Olympian water polo player and was one of our favorites.  So fun and interesting.  Bled was beautiful and we really enjoyed swimming at the hotel and walking around the lake.  We had a amazing 4 course dinner in a beautiful garden. 

The Postojna Cave was the perfect escape from the summer heat.   What an amazing stop and Ljubljana is a
beautiful city and we hope to go back to see more of it.

Zadar was charming and our driver very helpful and interesting.  He dropped us directly to our wonderful boat and crew.

Our week on the cruise ship was magical.  Each member of the crew was so helpful and fun.  Our captain was always eager to make suggestions on stops and made numerous calls on our behalf.  He took us to some lovely coves to anchor and swim.  The wine tasting on Korcula was at two great locations - charming old wine cellars with must history.  The lunches on the cruise were another highlight of the trip.  We took pictures of them because they were so over the top.  Each lunch was more impressive than the last.
