Review: Luxury UK Birthday Family Vacation, Ireland, Scotland, Dublin, Ballater, Inverness, Edinburgh, St Andrews, Ashford Castle

Overall, the trip was good. Our agent at this UK travel agency was very polite and responsive.  We liked both driving services (one in Ireland and one in Scotland) that she booked for us.  She had all the documents ready as she said.  There are a few things that I would have liked to make this a 5 star rating.  First, she did not recommend what to do in the places we went. I still had to do a lot of research.  Also, the hotel she booked in Dublin was not in a convenient location at all, and we only had one day there.  It would have been much better to be in city centre. Also, Ballater was not a location I would recommend.  We would have had access to much more if we had been in Inverness.  I questioned both of those things when she planned them, but she stood by them.  Also, there were a few times when she seemed to forget everything we talked about and I had to answer questions that had already been answered.  I referred her back to previous emails.  Finally, the way things were priced out was very confusing.  When the number of rooms were lowered and tickets were for 6 instead of 7, the price should have gone down.  I questioned this, but the answer did not make any sense to us.
