We had an exceptional trip to Vietnam organized by Zicasso’s travel agent. He was a pleasure to work with. He was super-reactive in updating the itinerary each time we asked for a small change. I have never seen such attention to detail to make sure our family was 100% happy. When our daughter fell and had to go to a hospital in the Ha Long Bay area, the itinerary was rearranged. The guide organized the hospital visit and waited in the van with the driver to make things as smooth as possible. When we asked to change our lunches from restaurants with a lot of tourists to more street food, it was done immediately, allowing us to have exceptionally flavorful and authentic dishes. Our travel agent even organized a birthday cake for me, which was a total surprise. Our three guides (in north, central, and south Vietnam) were very knowledgeable and always on time with a smile to make sure we were all happy. The vans were large, very comfortable, and the drivers professional.

We could not have asked for a better experience with Zicasso's travel agency. From start to finish, they did not disappoint. Our travel agent listened, made excellent suggestions, answered all of my questions, and was available once we were in Costa Rica if we needed them. We had an overview of the accommodations and tours we selected, but had no idea just how excellent everything would be. From the drivers to the tour guides to the tours themselves, we could not have been more pleased. The drivers and guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and so proud of their country. We experienced nature at night through a walk in the jungle, followed by a traditional Costa Rican dinner with a lovely family in a beautiful setting; the rainforest during the day, complete with hanging bridges through the treetops (the views were amazing); a coffee/chocolate plantation with a very entertaining guide; and warm mineral waters at the base of a volcano that left us relaxed and refreshed. The adult beverages were a nice touch, as was the buffet afterward. The food was delicious. The hotel near Arenal Volcano had spectacular views and the accommodations and amenities were perfect. Our balcony overlooking the tropical gardens and the volcano couldn’t have been more beautiful. Moving from the jungle to the beach provided us with a wonderful drive through the mountains, where we really could experience Costa Rican life. The villa at Manuel Antonio was the ultimate in luxury, complete with its own pool/jacuzzi, spectacular views of the Pacific, and a Mother Nature experience like no other. The macaws, toucans, and monkeys (especially the howler monkeys) did not disappoint. We experienced a nature walk on the property with our guide, walked the beach, enjoyed the help and suggestions of the private concierge, and could not have been more pleased with this experience.

Oh, my, Zicasso's tour operator organized our best trip ever! We are two couples who have been traveling extensively since we retired. Our 18 days in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand were flawless and amazing! Our travel agent organized six flights and fast-tracked us through every airport. We were met every step of the way. What a magical and memorable trip to southern Italy! Thank you to Zicasso's travel agent for planning such a wonderful and very special itinerary for us. It was the trip of a lifetime! We asked you to plan a trip to southern Italy for us and our adult children to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary, and the itinerary and our experiences exceeded our expectations. We asked to visit authentic Italy, not the touristy areas, and you nailed it! Puglia was beautiful and magical, and all of our accommodations were lovely and exactly what we wanted. We really enjoyed the different areas you chose for us so we could experience different environments. We are not sure we have a favorite place, but our sea-view room in Polignano a Mare was spectacular and the rooftop made-to-order breakfast was phenomenal! We all loved that town and also really enjoyed the boat tour of the caves!

Our other favorite towns were Ostuni, Alberobello, Martina Franca, Locorotondo, Lecce, and Otranto, and hiking along the Adriatic on the Salento Peninsula. Another highlight was going to a Primitivo winery and having a delicious traditional lunch with tastings. What a lovely afternoon! The most surprising and awesome place was the Sassi in Matera! The pictures you see do not do it justice. It was like going back in time or onto a movie set; simply amazing to see. Our travel team planned special accommodation for us – staying in caves – and it was an unbelievable bucket-list experience! For this trip, the team recommended using private transport between towns because we were a family of five traveling with luggage, and navigating parking with a large van in these small towns would have been very difficult for us. We were very happy we took their advice. They hired a wonderful transportation company and the owner and driver provided us with excellent service and were so much fun to be with on our trips to each destination. The last leg involved five days in Agropoli on the Cilento Coast (Mediterranean Sea), south of the Amalfi Coast. It was perfect. So beautiful and authentic! Our tour guide, driver, and translator were awesome, and took us on many interesting and fabulous adventures, including a visit to the Greek and Roman temples, ruins in Paestum, a tour and tasting at an organic buffalo mozzarella farm at a family-owned fig producer, and a small family-owned organic winery. All were fabulous and beyond our expectations. Experiencing the traditional foods and local wines in all of these places was another highlight. If all of this isn’t amazing enough, we also experienced my Italian heritage. Our travel team planned a stop in Casalciprano, a very small village in the Campobasso province where my paternal grandfather was born. With the help of our new friend. I was able to meet a few townspeople who were able to find the house where my grandfather was born. I never expected that and I will treasure that moment forever. Also, we visited a museum in the house where another relative was born. He is a famous detective from NYC and I have heard stories about him my whole life. So along with our agent's help translating for us, we enjoyed learning more about his life in Padula, a very small town in the province of Salerno. I donated some letters and a photo to the museum, and felt so connected to the people in the town. Our travel agent found a wonderful restaurant where we ate traditional foods from that region. This was the trip of a lifetime and I thank our travel team for making our 40th anniversary a dream vacation come true! We had such a great time and can’t wait to plan our next vacation!

He provided us with a suggested itinerary, which seemed good, but we had some ideas that differed from his, and he was totally receptive. He suggested a phone meeting, which was hugely helpful. Not only is he delightful to work with, but he and his partner deeply understand the country, the culture, and how to navigate it all. During our phone meeting, we expressed our interest in textiles, crafts, food, and certain sites, and our agent got really excited. He reworked the itinerary to include some really bespoke experiences, and we could not have been more grateful. What was really great was that we felt comfortable enough to question the reasoning behind some of his itinerary choices and he was very receptive to ours. Where he disagreed, he would provide very clear reasoning and in the end, he was right. His selections were on target and fully integrated our travel needs within and between cities, and our comfort and interests. We had a balanced trip, with guides for some days, while spending others exploring on our own, although our travel team provided suggestions for things to see and do in each particular area. What we really appreciated was that the whole team, including the guides, were flexible and willing to adjust the day's agenda (so long as no pre-paid tickets were involved) to take advantage of opportunities that arose along the way. In summary, we had an incredible experience thanks to our travel agent and his team. We hope to return and use them again, but until then, we would highly recommend them to anyone considering a trip to Japan.
