The company did a good job planning and executing our trip. It was our first visit to the area, so we relied on the comapny's suggestions, which, for the most part were good. There were a couple of hotels that were not up to our expectation and I think the tour company could and should have done a better job here. They did, however, reply promptly to our complaints, which we appreciated; but it still left us wasting valuable time fussing with room changes. Our private driver was excellent and the transportation provided was top notch.
The most enjoyable parts of the trip were just seeing the different countries, people and lifestyles.
The main thing I would do differently is to tell the tour company that I do not want to stay in any huge hotels that cater to large tour groups. It is not pleasant to try to check into an hotel with multiple large groups struggling to get the attention of the staff. Also, breakfast with hundreds of people is a nightmare.

As we talked in person when we met in Dubrovnik, I completely understand your discomfort with the two hotels that were not up to your expectations. I would also like to note my appreciation to you for noting that we reacted promptly, giving our best efforts to make the changes which will make you again enjoy the trip with us. As you recall, in August last year when we started planning your 14 days journey to Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro, we did have different hotels offered at exactly these two destinations where we ended up facing the challenges, Split and Hvar. The hotels were charming boutique hotels similar to the ones you had in all the other destinations of your visit, but these unfortunately got booked out by the time you decided to confirm the travel arrangement with us which was mid-March. At that point we had to joggle between staying within the noted budget, availability of the hotels and your hotel preferences. Given the time of your final confirmation for a journey that was taking place in a high season and factors that we had to take into count, we gave our best efforts to select the best options that were given at hand at that point. You were always informed about the changes which we had to make due to hotel availability and you were fine with the changes that we simply had to make.
I am very sorry that you had to go through the fuss of changing the rooms in these two hotels, but I am feeling a bit eased to know that in the end we always managed to make the changes to your satisfaction.
