Trip was fantastic notwithstanding that our flight to Spain was delayed by one day due to snowstorm and that there was unusual rainfall everyday throughout our trip, This success was principally due to the initial careful planning by this travel agent, her accessibility at all times (including checking with us on a regular basis as to how the day had gone) and, in particular, her flexibility, ingenuity and sensitivity in making necessary adjustments in light of unexpected weather conditions.
Moreover, although we are seasoned travelers accustomed to traveling alone, she impressed us by reflecting her responsibility and concern in meeting us initially upon our arrival in Spain and regularly thereafter during our nine day vacation in different locales. It is always comforting to know that there is someone local to whom one can turn should a difficult situation suddenly present itself.
The hotels selected were invariably excellent. They were well-situated to allow walking to the major attractions in each of the cities visited. The room in the hotel in Ronda, in particular, allowed for one of the most spectacular views ever experienced.
Finally, the excellent itinerary for this particular trip to Andalucia was based upon a proposal in an initial email proposal from Zicasso. As we were interested in such a trip but had a few more days available ( before the snowstorm) we were able to make modifications and adjustments after telephone and email exchanges with our agent. She clearly explained options available to us and introduced modifications to the original itinerary designed to satisfy our expressed interests. In each of the cities we had an appropriate balance between walking with experienced guides and having free time to wander on our own.
In short, the trip was wonderful, and credit for such must be given to our travel agent and this company. We could not have been more satisfied with her professional service. She was terrific!!!
Wandering the old city quarters of Cordoba, Sevilla and Granada.
Having experienced guides to walk us though the Alhambra in Granada, the Mezquita in Cordoba and the Palace in Seville.
Wandering through Ronda to see incredible views of the Gorge and traveling through some of the other white towns.
Enjoying marvellous lunches at restaurants, often with our agent or some of the guides.
Picasso Museum in Malaga (which we expected) and the Museo Joaquin Peinado in Ronda ( totally unexpected and unknown to us before this trip) which is a real treasure.
We were surprisingly pleased with Malaga, which was a very different type of experience from the other cities and would have enjoyed having another day there to wander ( our time restrictions did not allow it).
Would try to find opportunity to visit the area for a longer period so we might see some of the resort beach areas and have an opportunity to experience some of the very special places in the South.
Nonetheless, even in the limited time available to us, we found that we enjoyed and learned much.
