I can not say enough great things about this travel company and the travel agents who planned our trip. We spent 12 days in Spain and six of those days were walking on El Camino de Compostela. Everything was planned perfectly. My husband and I wanted nice places to stay at the end of each walking day and each place was more beautiful than the next. Our agent chose such picturesque and special places. At the end of El Camino, we spent 4 days in Santiago and our travel company planned private guided day excursions which were fantastic. Our travel agents were so accessible during the planning of the trip and responded to my emails immediately. There was a small problem with travel on the first day ( it was my fault entirely) and they fixed the issue immediately! I would most definitely recommend this company and hope to use them again for future trips to Spain.

Aside from the actual walking portion every day, we loved the following places to stay:
#1- Our hotel in Pontevedra. This place is magical and the host who runs it is fantastic. She made us feel right at home and was so attentive. The dinner was also delicious. So happy that we had an entire afternoon plus an evening there. It was so beautiful.
#2- Our hotel in La Coruna- great place to stay as well and the restaurant was excellent. You must get a massage-- it was fantastic. Book in advance.
#3 - Private tours from Santiago. These tours were arranged through a tour company and they did a fantastic job. We had amazing guides. The tour to Finnestere and Muxia was amazing. So was the tour to the vineyard and Rias Baixas. Really fun taking the boat and having mussels and wine on the boat.
#4- Really glad we did a day and a half in Leon before we started El Camino. We really enjoyed the walking tour and visiting the Catedral de Leon. Our tour guide was excellent. We had dinner at a Michelin Star restaurant and this dinner was fantastic and quite memorable.
#5 - La Casona (Sarria) - this was the perfect place to stay the night before our first day. The place is charming and the location is across the street from the start of the trail. The dinner the night before was excellent. But the best part was the host and his wife- they were so welcoming and their enthusiasm was great. Also served a great breakfast.
#6- Muino de Pena Hotel- really beautiful. We had a little house on the property which was so beautiful-- dinner was really tasty as well and the ladies who ran the hotel were great.
I would not recommend the Palas de Rei Hotel. Although the location is lovely, the hotel felt not well taken care of and the Spa felt old. The massage was not good and they charged you extra for every little thing including the mandatory bathing cap they forced you to wear in the whirlpool. Also, the dinner was really bad and so was the breakfast. The staff was not friendly at all. Additionally, once you arrived at the hotel- it was way too long of a walk to get to the Hotel. It was really off the path and once you are off the path there are no directions to the hotel and when we called they were not able to give them to us nor were they able to pick us up so we needed to take a taxi. This is the only place I would not stay in again.
Also- please note that to get to the La Coruna hotel is also a long walk to the hotel but it's doable. It would have been good to know ahead of time that the hotel is an additional 3km from the path. The next morning they graciously drove us to the start of the path.
Santiago day trips-- they were great but we did not think it was necessary to tour the town of Pontevedra on the way to Rias Baixas. It was sufficient to just take the boat trip and then go to the Winery which was fantastic.
If we had the time, I would have walked from Santiago to Finnestere after resting in Santiago for 1-2 days.
