Overall we had an nice experience; Spain is a beautiful land. The people are warm; the landscapes, history, culture, art and foods are wonderful. With this travel agency's help we were able to experience all of this, and we are grateful. The private tours in each city were very good. We enjoyed all the guides; they were informative and pleasant.
However, the experience could have been much better. There were 3 major problems:
First and most importantly...The overall quality of hotels. 50% of the hotel reservations were not acceptable to the discerning traveler.
Second...The car rental pickup was a disaster. The class of car delivered was not appropriate. It took a good portion of the morning to straighten out the problem. This should have been avoided.
Third... our travel agency did not forward our train tickets till I requested them. If we did not have them in our possession we would have been lost in the train station, and would have missed our train. Thankfully, our initiative avoided this problem. The tickets should have automatically been forwarded with the pocket itinerary.
It is only with strong reservations that we can recommended this agency to others.

I would better convey to this company the quality of hotel desired. We requested 4-5 star hotels only, and we reviewed the suggested hotels on trip advisor, but still the hotels were off the mark, especially in Madrid. I would suggest giving the company a NYC hotel that you like, so they know standard of quality desired.
Details have to be reviewed... train tickets have to be in your possession; car rentals specifics (size of car) have to confirmed.

I am really sorry to hear, that your experience was not perfect. I don’t have any other objective in my work than to make my clients very happy and that they love Spain and have an unforgettable time.
It’s true that hotels in Europe are different than in the US. Specially in historic city centers, where there is no space for real estate development and hotels have to be placed in old buildings.
In Andalucia is really hard to find big hotels. Granada & Cordoba are two cities that have a very limited hotel selection. In Granada there are only two 5 stars hotels. Unfortunately one of the 5-stars hotels only has 6 rooms and they cannot guarantee rooms. Since you only stayed one night, the hotel takes priority of guests that stay longer. I am so sorry you did not like the hotel and the noise they had.
Cordoba is very small and yes the city center is very narrow. Valencia the hotel is a 5 stars hotel. Again Valencia is also limited on high-end hotels. We thought it was going to be nice to be near the beach just for one day.
Regarding the car, I apologize and I know it was a hassle to get the car. When we booked with the rental car company, we always call their reservations department. We asked for a comfortable car for 4 people. Unfortunately they don’t confirm the brand and model of the car until you arrive at the rental office. As soon as I was informed about this issue, I worked with the Manager to obtain a bigger car for you at no extra cost.
Overall, I wanted to thank you so much for trusting our company and providing us with your valuable feedback. I hope to serve you again when you are back in Spain.
