I researched several travel agents to help me plan our trip to South Africa, in the end I chose this company because of their reviews, speedy response to my questions, and overall ease of communication with our agents. I definitely made the right choice. Since I was the person making the arrangements for six adults I was anxious that everything would be satisfactory. From the beginning of our stay in Cape Town to the final stay in Namibia 17 days later our trip was flawless and wonderful. My concerns were put to rest. Every arranged transfer was on time, had clean vehicles, with knowledgeable and kind drivers. Each lodging (4 different locations) was perfect, spacious, comfortable with the local flare and great service. Our excursions were amazing our favorite Devils Pool in the Zambezi River from the hotel was exhilarating! I had read about it online and inquired with our agent, she was happy to book it for us and told me she has done the excursion herself. Our intra African flights were arranged timely and went smoothly. Back home we are reflecting on our trip and reviewing our awesome pictures from an amazing trip. Thank you!
Everything was enjoyable on our trip. Though the most memorable experiences for me as I said above was an excursion to Devils Pool in the Zambezi River. All six adults in our party made the thrilling trip to the pool at the falls. But many other experiences were close second runner ups. The game drives from Savanna Private Game Reserve definitely will remain in my mind forever, seeing elephants, lions, leopard, rhino's zebras, giraffe, hippo's, I can go on and on. because our ranger was so good at his job along with his tracker. Our favorite was following the wild dogs on a hunt! The entire setting at Savanna is special.
Cruising on the Chobe river was an amazing experience seeing wildlife from a boat. The elephants swimming made us smile and laugh! The excitement and suspense of a stand off of lions (5) with a cub at the river, and the elephants who also wanted a drink was captivating. We observed for an hour as the scene unfolded, we learned that the animal world has a sense of humor when two warthogs also wanted to come to the river and retreated quickly when they saw the standoff! We would have never scene this if we were in a vehicle on land.
Cape Town is such and interesting city, beautiful, friendly and so compact. Our tours of the Cape Town areas were informative and efficient as we packed in a lot in just three days. Being at Cape of Good Hope made us feel small when in our miles eye we could picture where we were in the world.
It is too difficult to name one "most memorable" it was all wonderful.
If I could take the trip again (and I would) I may spend one less day in Cape Town, and add the Seychelles Islands to the end of our trip for three days. It is a long flight from the U.S.A. so I would maximize the stay once there.
