Fascinating trip. Superb service with all agents as well as very informed and interesting guides.
Macchu Pichu is breathtaking and worth the effort which is not as difficult as we had anticipated. The Amazon was also fascinating.
Not go to Lake Titicaca. WE had altitude sickness.
Travel Company Comments
I am glad you had a good trip overall and thanks for posting a review, I didn't see it yet.If you were sick at Lake Titicaca from altitude then that can be just a rare occurrence of which all the planning in the world will not fix. Your trip was planned as a gradual acclimatization from the time you flew to Cusco it begins, you are lowered to the Sacred Valley, then down to Machu Picchu, then up to Cusco and further up to Lake Titicaca and Puno. That is the best and only route possible to minimize the chances of altitude sickness.Altitude sickness can affect young and old travelers alike. I climbed high into the Andes and learned from high altitude climbing in snow and ice that the onset of altitude sickness is still something that challenges the finest medics in the world today. All we can do is minimize the risk and I am sorry if you had a bad day or two with that.
I am glad you liked the trip overall and you will see we are a good natured and honest company here, I hope you may come back to perhaps Chile, Argentina, Brazil or the Galapagos and we can help you have an even better trip there.
Thanks for being a great traveler for us and I hope the memories will carry you along the road of life in better stead.
