Kate from this South Pacific travel agency is the best travel agent I have ever had the pleasure of planning a trip. In the planning stage she was very patient, kind, and very concerned that we would get to experience and bring home the fondest memories. The experience of New Zealand from Auckland, sailing, Mt Eden, the volcano, the tranz alpine Kiwirail, the glaciers, icebergs, and my wife's desire to spend time in Hobbiton, and my favorite town in NZ was Queenstown, and so on there is not one thing that I would have changed. Whether it was a hotel, apartment, or condo each was perfect for the time we spent there. The personal guides we got were knowledgeable, flexible, and fun to spend time. We found Australia to have been equally well planned. My only regret is that we should have spent another week there. There is so much to see and do. But again the personal tours were handled extremely well. Thank goodness my wife Sue took extremely good notes as we are now in the process of putting a digital photo album together. This was a trip of a life time and we got a Big Bang for our dollar. Thank you Kate for organizing the Best vacation ever.

Each stop in NZ and Australia was a chain of great memories. From the sail in Auckland, Hobbiton, the volcanos, the Maiore people, Christchurch, Franz Josef, multiple sights in seeing the mountains, icebergs, glaciers, Mount Cook, tranz alpine railway, Queenstown, and so on. I did realize that we could not have done some of those hikes at an older age. We are all in our late 60s and in a few more years we would not have been able to do some those hikes. I would have hated to exclude one of those hikes. Oh the stars, the stars, the star gazing was fabulous. In Australia my favorite spots were Port Douglas, the Great Barrier Reef, Daintree rainforest, Billy Tea Bush Safaris, and Melbourne were my favorite locations. If I have another opportunity to go to Australia I would spend a week in Port Douglas, and a week in Melbourne and travel to other areas we had no time to visit. I continually forgot that Australia in land mass is the same size as the USA. The trip of a life time has been fulfilled.
I would have only spent one over night in Ayers Rock. We could have done the sunset dinner on the day we arrived, the sunrise breakfast the next morning with immediately after that do Seit Kata Tjuta Domes (9am), and leave on the 3:25 flight. I would have extended our trip by 2 days in Port Douglas, and 2 days in Melbourne. The trip should have been for 31 days.
