I purposely waited a few weeks since getting back to put things in perspective. We (my wife and I) hadn't traveled to any countries in South America before so this was our first experience, although we have frequently traveled around Europe. We stayed in Argentina the whole time. There aren't as many sites to see in the big cities (Buenos Aries) but they are nice to walk around. The people were great and we enjoyed the culture. The country has plenty to experience but is widely dispersed because of the distance between places to see. It would take about a day to go from one area to another. Our guides were all locally independent and were all pretty good with the exception of our guide in Iguazu who was a cut below (more disinterested). We had drivers which was also a good idea for seeing a lot quickly.
The travel Company met our expectations.
We liked Baraloche best because of the beautiful scenery and our terrific hotel . Also cooking class in Mendoza and Asado with a family in BA. Met some nice people which made both special. Of course Iguazu falls is amazing. We recommend the boat trip to the falls. But no more than two days is all you need.
i can't think of anything we would have done differently. The tour guides recommendations were absolutely right for length of stay things to see. However, We went to a tango dinner/production which was not great. But I don't like dancing with the stars either. Maybe it's me. I thought it was a little dated and overdone.
