There are not enough words to express how much we enjoyed our three week honeymoon, custom-organized by this travel agency.
From the initial email we received, to the consultation telephone calls, the regular updates, the travel package and documents, to even an emergency number to call once we had arrived, we felt taken care of every step of the way.
Our customized vacation included 1 week in Greece and 2 weeks in Italy. They found a way to balance our bucket list, must see items and still give us time to explore on our own, all why staying within our budget.
It was so nice to just leave for the holiday and know that every ticket was already purchased, all the accommodations were already arranged, and our only job was to enjoy ourselves.
The vendors they work with are absolutely amazing. The tour guides are personable and the accommodations are hidden gems with great little unique features at each new stop.
We fell in love with our destinations just as much as we fell more in love with each other on this honeymoon.
We would recommend this company to anyone considering travelling to Italy and even Greece. They are experts in the field of travel consulting and we cannot thank them enough for everything they have done to make our honeymoon exactly what we were hoping for.
Thanks again to the wonderful people at this travel company.
We absolutely fell in love with the island of Santorini in Greece. We quickly made friends with the Bartender at the apartments the moment we arrived. We rented a ATV for the days were were there and were able to tour the entire island on our own. The island itself was so beautiful to tour and everywhere we went, locals were friendly and helpful. We met other travelers during our stay there and have already made plans to meet up with them back in their home country of Argentina and Ireland. Santorini is definitely a place that brings people together!
During our travels through Italy, we spent a few days in Posatino. The owner of the hotel truly spoiled us during our stay. She served us breakfast in bed every morning and shared with us fresh fruit from her garden and her famous local coffee. She also recommended to us the quieter hidden beaches where we would spend our days away from the crowds and still get amazing service. She also pointed us in the direction of the best restaurants in town. The food was delicious and when we mentioned "we were sent by the owner", the waiter hooked us up with some shots of Lemonchello and Champagne on the house.
A hidden gem of Italy of Pompeii. It was our most enjoyable tour. Our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and it is truly remarkable to tour the ruins, which are larger than we every imagined. It is a very unique experience to see such a preserved civilization so close to a still active volcano.
Our last stop of our journey was Venice. It is definitely a city you can lose yourself in.It was our favourite destination in Italy and was the hardest to leave. The best thing about Venice if you purposely want to leave the map at your hotel and just wander. You stumble upon the most beautiful sites along the way. An absolute must is a gondola ride to explore the city from the canals. This city on islands is a must see for anyone planning to travel to Italy.
Our flights from Calgary to Toronto and Toronto to Athens didn't have my husband and I seated together. We were able to talk to customer service and get our seats rearranged, however we wasted a good hour and a half standing in a customer service line. Next time, we would pay the little bit extra a head of time to select assign seating.
Vatican tour options. We were unaware that there are the Vatican catacomb tours available. If we were aware of this, we would have probably booked the catacomb tour versus the Vatican museum and chapel tour.
Excursion out of Florence to Verona. Florence was a beautiful city and we deeply enjoyed our excursions to Siena. However, we were unaware that Verona was an option available out of Florence. We definitely would have liked to do have done the Verona as well as the Siena excursion and spend less time in the actually city of Florence. Just used it more as a hub.
We were unaware that the Pompeii exhibit is in the Naples museum. We would have loved to attended and got tickets. We throughly enjoyed Pompeii but we only found out about the exhibits once we had arrived at the ruins, which was an hour drive outside of Naples. Then we had to carry on to our hotel in Posatino, another 1 and a half along the coastline. If we were aware of the museum exhibition, we would have went straight from the train station to the museum first, then have our driver meet at the museum and do the tour at Pompeii and then carry on our journey to Posatino.
One less day in Posatino and one extra day in Venice. We fell in love with Venice the moment we hopped off the train. Posatino was wonderful but my husband and I knew we aren't "beach" type of people. We like to go and explore. I would definetely take one day off our 4 day stay in Posatino and add that extra day to the end of our trip so we could have explored Venice a little bit more.
