I travel regularly and typically handle all aspects of the experience for my family. It is a hobby that I enjoy. But being the chauffeur, tour guide, photographer and sommelier can take the fun away from me. I've never felt confident enough to trust anyone else to do these things for me until I booked a trip to Ireland for my family of four with this travel agency. Working with this travel specialist and her team was a delight! She was willing to listen to every concern I had and was knowledgeable enough to push back or reassure when I had uncertainty about the itinerary. She was available to check in throughout the trip to ensure all was going smoothly. The travel experience itself was beyond believable! Our guide was outstanding. He was more than a chauffeur and tour guide. He became our photographer, our pub crawl director, and a dear friend to the family. We went off the beaten path more times than I would have ever been able to accomplish on my own. Seeing other tour groups and buses was a rarity, and this was a priority for my family. We met wonderful locals who were eager to share their lives with us. Every day brought a new experience that was more than expected. One family member had an ankle fracture on day two of the trip and our guide was quick to modify the trip to accommodate the situation. Despite this, I can confidently say I felt as if we missed nothing as a result of necessary schedule changes. I cannot say enough about this trip. I haven't stopped talking about it since I returned home and I am already planning a return trip. Ireland was beautiful and this travel specialist and our guide made sure that my family had the most memorable experience of any other travel adventure. I learned that I can trust another person and not be disappointed when I travel. Many thanks to our travel specialist for arranging an excellent itinerary with an excellent guide. And to our guide, I cannot wait to see you again on our return trip, my family would have no other guide.
Beautiful countryside of Connemara. Meeting a sheep farmer and sharing a cup of tea with his wife. More rainbows and waterfalls than I saw in Hawaii. Standing on the Peat bogs and learning about their importance to the Irish people. The beautiful cliffs of Kilkee. Staying at Ashford Castle, Dromoland castle and the Killarney hotel - all were stunning! Falconry at Dromoland castle was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The numerous manor homes we saw on our journey took us back in time. Killarney national park was stunning. The Dingle Peninsula was the highlight of the trip! Stunning views, wonderful friendly locals, and lovely colorful towns with inviting pubs and restaurants. I cannot say enough!
I would spend more time in each area on the western coast, perhaps flying in and out of Shannon airport to save travel time.
