The trip was extremely exclusive which made it a tremendous experience. We felt like we had little bits of Botswana to ourselves (and guide). We got much closer to the wildlife than any of our wildest expectations. There were (of course) one or two things that could have been a little better, but overall, we would do it again in a minute (if we could afford it!). I would love to see a price breakdown provided, to better determine the individual value of each of our 7 stops, but as an overall experience, it was quite fantastic, with zero waiting as to who was going to be handlng the next leg of our journey, and where we went. That was so seemless and effortless on our part that we were quite amazed. Everyone we met (involved with our travels) knew more about what we were doing than we did. On that front, we might have appreciated a little more knowledge and input. Overall tho, I would give iur trip a strong A-, 95%, 4.5out of 5....you get the idea.

There were many. The false charges by the elephants are always exciting, the elephants eating the branches off the bushes hanging over our tent (Lataka Safaries...110%...A+++...7 out of 5...etc.), the close observation of lion cubs and mother and father (mere feet away from our safari vehicle), and always, the awe inspiring beauty of the leopards. I have thousands of pictures to commemorate our trip, and could have taken thousands more. Trying to capture the reflection of our safari vehicle in an elephants eye at 12 feet is tougher than it sounds, or to capture a lilac breasted roller in flight (truly one of the most beautiful birds in the world), these are what makes a trip truly ours! Flunked out on both, maybe next time!
The Lion Walk in Victoria Falls was tremendous. We only spent a couple of hours with the two lions they shared with us, but it was great seeing these large animals and betting to pet and interact with them. If you are any kind of a big cat lover, this is almost a must.
Fly to Planet Boabob. The roadtrip from Maun and back was long and verrrry slow. Our experience there did not encompass hardly any wildlife, but that may be due to the time of year as much as anything. We enjoyed our experience with the people and cattle stations, tho.
The houseboat was disappointing, only because it only traveled a few hours a day, and then anchored. We traveled via small boat (also verrry slowly) up and down the river for a few miles. We did get excellent animal photo's from the river, which was nice, however, we had hoped for a "larger" experience there. We would have preferred to stay with Lataka, I think.
