Our travel company and our agent was a pleasure to work with on this trip. In addition to being friendly and competent, she (they) were responsive to our various requests and had an intimate and deep knowledge of the activities we wished to undertake, the places we wanted to visit, and the lodging accommodations we desired. Everything was scheduled as agreed upon and everything took place as scheduled. My wife, our grandson, and I had a marvelous and memorable time on this trip. I would recommend this company to anyone wishing to arrange a customized trip to Australia.
Actually, the entire trip was enjoyable for my wife, grandson, and me. (Note: I have been to Australia 20 to 30 times over the years since I was first there in 1970. This was my wife's second trip.). We started with "down-time" the day of our arrival which we used to walk around Darling Harbour and Sydney's downtown/Memorial Park area, doing some shopping and sightseeing and to view the spectacular Sydney Harbour light show and festival that night a Circular Quay. Thereafter, the tours and visits of the Sydney Opera House, Taronga Zoo, the late afternoon climb to the top of the Harbour Bridge (my wife did not do this), the trip to the Blue Mountains, our grandson's personal surfing lesson on Bondi Beach, and riding the ferries made for some great memories and visuals of Sydney and surrounding area. We even had time one day for a lovely lunch with a former business colleague (and his family) of mine who was responsible for the Australian business operations of a company I used to manage. Our trip out to Uluru (Ayers Rock) was marvelous and included a camel ride in the desert to a cocktail reception and an evening dinner location in the desert where an astronomer gave the assembled diners a tour of the stars in the southern sky (of interest if you are from the northern hemisphere). The sunrise at Uluru the next morning was an incredible sight as was our guides up close and personal tour of Uluru itself. From there we went onto Port Douglas and the Great Barrier Reef where ou grandson did a group snorkeling tour of the reef. We finished up wth a "breakfast with the birds" at a local wildlife center.
Probably add another couple of days to the trip and include Melbourne and either Adelaide or Perth or Darwin to the schedule. I would also add one more day at the end of the trip at either the hotel in Port Douglas as "down-time" as I have in previous stays there, or another day in Sydney.
