This is a mixed review. The first part of our interaction with this travel agency was with our first representative & I would give a 5 star. She was outstanding, discussed the trip and venues. She kept us updated on changes & made us feel important.
The Venues she arranged for us were first rate and other than slowing the pace down we would not change a thing except better guidance/directions in Sydney, this was the most confusing.
Somewhere along the way something happened we were assigned to another agent.
She made us feel as if she was stuck with us, the communication was poor, updates were only seen on the online link. A review of the trip that our first representative talked about did not happen. This is important because I use a cane to walk due to a weak leg & balance problems & the last venue was the Sydney harbor bridge climb. This is a 3 1/2 hour climb and on their web page I clearly did not meet the requirements. We did not notice this until we were on the trip, contacted our new representative and she was able to cancel it several weeks in advance. If the discussion took place this would of been averted.
The first time we even heard from our second representative is when our travel agency & their Australian counterpart, is when part of one of the Uluru venues were modified because of their scheduling. As of now there has been no refund for these 2 events which amount to several hundred US Dollars. The followup on the travel agency's part has been poor.
We even tried to arrange a replacement tour through here, for either the same day or the day after, I understand things were closed on ANZAC day, but the day after everything was opened & she said nothing was available, when in fact is was open & available and was easy for me to find the trip she said was not available.
So obviously our interactions with this second representative has skewed our review of the trip. I would defiantly work with our first agent again, but not our second agent.
The whole trip was memorable! Our favorites were the Uluru sunrise, the Ghan train ride, Kakadu Park, Port Douglas, Carmen on the water in Sydney, and the Sydney Opera house. As above the arranged venues were terrific.
The tour drivers & guides were outstanding & knowledgeable, our safari's has a top rate crew.
Although the places we saw were terrific on their own, the guides were top notch, enjoyed there jobs & took good care of their passengers.
All in all this was our best vacation ever!!!
I would try to slow the pace down a bit in the beginning. There was more breathing room in on the second half of the trip, but the first half was go go go!
We would get in from one tour at 9pm & have to be up & out for the next one at 5am & checked out of the hotel.
The only other place I would change is Sydney portion. Our hotel was not convenient for our activities. We were directed to pick up tickets at the Sydney opera house for Carmen, when they were across the Harbor, costing us an extra un-necessary $20.
