I will begin by stating our Argentina land package coordinated by our vacation specialist for this travel agency is a wonderful person to work with and extremely committed to providing top-notch customer service deserves a 6+ star rating. Our adventure left Buenos Aires for 3 days in Bariloche, 3 days in Mendoza and 3 days in Puerto Iguazu returning to Buenos Aires. This trip was absolutely amazing. Our specialist created a customized itinerary to include trekking, kayaking, nature walks, wine tasting, food, boat ride, waterfalls and cultural activities allowing us to experience Argentina from the inside and leaving us with a wonderful experience and longing to return to Argentina to do it all over again. She did a fantastic job arranging the private transfers from/ to airport, private car with tour guides. For the most part all of our drivers and tour guides treated us like family. I am on a special diet and most outing involved food. Surprisingly this was a non issue because the guides handled this so professionally I did not feel like this was an inconvenience.
Loved it ALL!! Wine, Chocolates, cowboys, ice-cream, Sires, tour guides and drivers. We cannot choose.
Bariloche- Full day History & Nature tour with delicious lunch box. Full day Kayaking in National Park with lunch box and wine. Half Day Boat Tour Brazo tristeza navigation at a small branch of the Nahuel Huapi Lake (A semi-private tour with maximum 15 people. Home made local lunch, wine, beer and drinks).
Mendoza-Winery tour in Uco Valley with lunch included. Drink Wine. Wine was wonderful. Cannot leave without purchasing a few bottles.
Full day trekking tour of the Alta Montaatour in the Andes with a late lunch in one of the local restaurants.
Puerto Iguazu Brazilian side Iguazu Falls, Only our entrance fee included (no guide just driver). Our driver who spoke very little English managed to get us through the Brazilian border in record time. We arrived at the Falls and went with him where he picked up our tickets and a map of the Park.. He found a tour guide that he new, who spoke English and asked her if she could explain the map and how the park was laid out. She was extremely knowledgeable and we had an easy time of following her instructions and enjoying the Falls tremendously. Our driver was truly an angel.
Puerto Iguazu Argentinian side of the falls with our local guide. The weather was raining and a miserable day to see the falls. Tour guide showed us the falls in warp speed and I could not catch my breathe the entire tour. He definitely did not want to do this tour which is understandable but we all had umbrellas and rain gear. We are experience travelers and did not appreciate a "crash tour" of the falls . He did reschedule our boat ride under the falls from 9:00 am to Noon which was good. Please note that if you are doing the boat ride you will get thoroughly soaked so this activity has to be scheduled towards the end of the day or in sunny swimsuit weather and bring a change of clothes. No way you are going to be able s to tour after you are soaked.
Allow a week for Buenos Aires, a day for San Antonio horse country, and overnight at a winery
