Most enjoyable part of the trip was having our guide. Highlights include Sekumpul water fall, pulling off the road and sampling satay and other local dishes from a roadside stand. Terunyan cemetery was fascinating along with learning about and tasting Lusaka coffee. Our Heavens Gate photo was great, but not a spiritual experience waiting for over a hour to get it. Also a highlight was learning about Bali Hinduism and how if affects daily life. One other memorable experience was an optional Royal 100 Candle Light Dinner at a Ubud Restaurant. The most romantic dinner anywhere!
On the agenda was a stop at a local famous volcanic hot springs. It was billed as a must-stop. It was nothing more than 3 cement heated pools, geared to teenagers and children. We immediately left.
The bird house breakfast was probably a bit oversold, nothing special. I also wish we added one more day early in the trip. We immediately had several long days right way, and never really had a relaxing day until right at then end. Maybe adding a day, with two half days of sight seeing in the afternoon might have been less rushed. Our fault.
