My trip was incredible, and I have this travel agency to thank. As a first-time solo traveler heading to multiple destinations in Argentina and Chile and knowing very little Spanish, I wanted to make sure that all details were handled so I would not have to worry about anything. Every transfer, weather it was a flight or bus/car, was seamless and smooth. Even in instances where drivers did not know much English, I had no issues at all.
My travel agent and the team were wonderful throughout. I spoke with my agent on the phone several times during the planning, and he was always accommodating and thinking about how best he could meet my requests. Even with a late tour cancellation and a transportation strike in Buenos Aires, the team found solutions. My travel agent created a WhatsApp group that made communication very easy while I was on the trip. My representative provided great recommendations in Buenos Aires and also made reservations for me.
I have already recommended this company to friends/family who have expressed interest in traveling to Patagonia. This was my first experience using a travel specialist, and the bar has been set very high. I have them to thank for crafting one of the best vacations I have ever had!
EcoCamp in Patagonia was all-around such a unique, wonderful experience and the highlight of my trip. I have raved about it since I returned - the domes, food, and tours were top-notch. The hike to Cerros Paine was challenging and breathtaking. There is a very nice community feel, and I met great people from around the world during my stay.
Also, I was so excited to see penguins, as this was a must-do in my itinerary.
I only wish I had more time, since there is so much to see in both Buenos Aires and Santiago, but the focus of my trip was really Patagonia, and seeing the two cities was more a bonus. More reason to return! Also, while I preferred to visit during this shoulder season when there would be fewer people, I would also like to experience the region when it's warmer and take other treks/tours. I would also like to see penguin colonies, so deeper into the season once their return.
One part of my itinerary that had to change due to a tour cancellation was visiting Tierra Del Fuego National Park. I would like to hike/bike/kayak in that area as well when it's warmer.
