This travel company was amazing our agent who organized the trip for me and my partner was really patient, sincere, efficient and honest with us. I couldn't have asked more. I never really believed in getting a travel company to plan a trip. For the first time I used a company to plan our itinerary and that too was based in Japan and not in Singapore somehow It turned out pretty fine, thank God!!! Japan was one of the countries in my bucket list and I was really excited. We chose to travel in winter and not during the cherry blossom period as we wanted to avoid the chaos during the time where all the tourists floods into Japan. I am not sure if that was the right thing to do but we went for it. Japan is an interesting country with a unique culture and beautiful people. I believe they are meticulous and really simple. We went to a a few shrines, castles and untouched places of Japan. Singapore is a vibrant city on its own so we wanted to avoid visiting the cities in Japan as much as we could. The Temples and castles got a little overwhelming for us so we shortened our trip from 10 to 7 days.
The most exciting part of the trip was getting our hands on pottery making. We made bowls and a vase which will then be shipped over to Singapore in 2 months. The Sengakuji Temple where the 47 Ronin were buried. Tsukiji Market the biggest fish and seafood market was something I will never be able to see in Singapore. There are many restaurants nearby that serves the best and freshest sushi and sashimi. I will never be able to find anything like that around the world. It's the best I have eaten and it melts in your mouth perfectly!!! If I have to travel back to Japan just to eat sushi it will be only at Tsukiji Market!!! The God of weather had be kind to us and we had an amazing view of the Mount Fuji. Stayed in a Ryokan which I loved but not my partner. We requested for a hot spring bath in our room but we're pretty disappointed cause it came really in a small bath pot. My partner who was 1.95m tall could obviously not fit in it. Nishiki Market in Kyoto is lively, Long shopping streets lined up by more than one hundred shops and restaurants. The Gekkeikan Sake Brewery Museum one of the oldest company in the world. The Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park, Museum and the Castle. Also one has to try the Okonomiyaki if you are Hiroshima. Himeji Castle which also know to be the best castle in Japan.
We would have preferred to see the coastal scenery and untouched countryside landscapes of Japan or maybe even some islands that offers some spectacular coastlines, mountain ranges, and tumbling rivers.
