We had the trip of a lifetime. We started in Queenstown, New Zealand which was a dream! The weather was beautiful, the scenic landscapes were breathtaking and the food was amazing. Everyone that we encountered was friendly and helpful. The city center area was very easy to navigate and we had a blast coming back into town each night from daytime excursions and picking a new place for dinner. Next we went to Port Douglas and Sydney, Australia which were also amazing! Port Douglas was a quaint town by the ocean where we went snorkeling and my boyfriend tried diving for the first time and he is now hooked! And Sydney...what can we say about Sydney...one of the most beautiful cities in the world! Our trip planner was fantastic. She worked with us on such short notice of our trip (less than 2 months) and took our comments and preferences into consideration when planning the trip for us. All pickups, tours and excursions went seamlessly. She was responsive and provided very detailed itinerary which was very helpful.
In Queenstown we had an amazing shot-over jet tour down the Dart River and then our hiking guide met us in what seemed like the middle of no where and we did a hike through the forest and had a beautiful picnic lunch by the river. The day we arrived we did the Queenstown Hill Trail and saw the Basket of Dreams, the views were spectacular. We took a cessna plane to Milford sound and then did a boat tour around the fjord which was a highlight of the trip. One of favorite evenings was dinner at the country farm in Queenstown. We hopped on the vintage steamer boat and made the journey to the farm, we enjoyed an amazing buffet dinner and to top it all off there a sheep sheering and sheep dog demonstration after dinner. The food was out of this world and this was certainly a night to remember. In Australia highlights included snorkeling and diving in the Great Barrier Reef in Port Douglas. In Sydney our highlights were climbing and Sydney Harbor Bridge and the Sydney Opera House tour. We also took a day trip to the Blue Mountains which was fantastic! We did an amazing hike and saw some amazing sites including the Three Sisters! We had some amazing dinners, the seafood was fantastic. The Rocks Market was fun for lunch and picking up souvenirs on our last day.
Nothing! It was amazing!
