I planned a mother/daughter trip to Peru with this agency! This agency was very responsive and creative in suggesting different type of experiences that I was looking for, they took care of every detail and were really great to work with! When there were issues, they responded and corrected them immediately. It was nice to have a driver waiting for us and our guides were excellent, they spoke english and gave us very interesting and informative tours. It was nice to have this agency handle all the details of the trip! When we were in Peru all went great for the first 5 days. There was an issue with the return train ticket, our itinerary indicated that we were supposed to arrive in Poroy Train Station in Cusco, however, our train ticket only went to Ollanyatambo, we asked the train station about that and they indicated our ticket was to Ollana and there were no trains to Poroy on that day and time. Since we did not have a local phone, we had to find a public phone and call our local contact to let them know that we were not where they were sending a driver to pick us up since our train ticket was incorrect. Unfortunately, our local contact did not answer the phone. Thankfully, I had another contact name in the Operations Services area located in Lima, which our agency provided in the itinerary we were given upon arrival in Cusco. Thankfully, she answered the phone, at this point it was 7:00 pm on a Friday, she was able to find a driver to bring us to Cusco (an hour and a half away). We only had to wait 20 minutes, and someone showed up to drive us to our hotel. Then our agency's local contact contacted us the next day and apologized for the issue, and arranged to pay for dinner at a very nice restaurant to apologize for the train ticket issue, very professionally handled! We arrived at our hotel late, it was around 9:30pm, we had not had dinner and we were tired from the long day, when we booked with this agency, we were told we would have superior hotel rooms in each location, however, the last hotel we stayed at, after the train issue gave us a below average room, there was no window, so the door to the room was half window with a shade, right next to the dining room for breakfast, needless to say I was not happy since I paid for a superior room, therefore, I asked the hotel desk if they had any other room they could offer us, and was promptly told no, that was the only room they had available! I emailed the agency to let them know the room situation, we stayed the night in that room, but the next day the very nice manager of the hotel came up to our room, told us he had heard from our travel agency and apologized for the room and offered us another, very nice, room for the remainder of our trip. One other issue, one of the tours we booked for the last day was closed, due to the independence day holiday, therefore, our tour guide who was wonderful, spoke english and was enjoyable to spend time with, arranged for us to attend another event in its place. So bottom line, our agency was very responsive to any issues and resolved them in a timely and satisfactory fashion. Overall, the trip was a wonderful, memorable trip and I would definitely recommend this company to assist with your travel needs! Things happen, but when they do, this company was an agency that responded and assisted promptly and professionally!
It was all wonderful, truly wonderful trip, it was nice to have private guides and transport to all of our tours, we could stop if we wanted to get an ice cream or take a photo. But one thing that we really enjoyed was a local community visit, which was wonderful to see the real people that live there, how they live and what their customs were, they were very welcoming and made us lunch, showed us their farm and how they used their plants and how they weaved their garments and then we all danced together before saying goodbye!
Loved the whole trip! The only part that was a little disappointing was that our hotel in the Sacred Valley was a little ways from the town, therefore, we had to eat every breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and after 3 nights, we were happy to leave and have more freedom to where we ate our meals, if I were to do this trip again, I would rather stay in the town where you get the train to Machu Picchu, it had more restaurants and shops all around.
