This was our first time with an organized private tour. As soon as you referred us to them, they sent an email asking any specifics we required , our likes, dislikes, etc. and within a day or so had a proposed itinerary. They quickly made changes and alternate choices for any inquiries or concerns we had. Very easy to work with.
1. The first sight of the pyramids at Giza are amazing. We opted for the chance to walk inside, which is definitely a physical workout but something not to be missed. It sounds corny, but the private camel ride is surreal, you travel to the back of the pyramids where nobody is and have the opportunity to see the desert and pyramids, a breathtaking moment.
2. Abu Simbel is a busy day of travel but definitely worth it.
3. The temple of Habu in Luxor. Less than 20 visitors in the entire place we were able to take our time, never felt rushed, Probably one of the most beautiful temples we visited.
12 days is definitely a long time to spend in Egypt. 7 days would be long enough to see and do just about all you need to. Aside from the private tours, Egypt, especially Cairo, is not a city to stroll and explore on your own. It is very polluted and smoggy, and the driving is no conducive to leisurely strolls or exploring on the streets. And also depending on your level of travel, it’s good to know that their 5 star rated hotels may only be 3 star quality in the US.
