I would highly recommend this safari travel agency to anyone travelling to Africa. I had several phone conversations with the owner and we exchanged multiple e-mails - well over 40 I think. He was extremely responsive and patient. He listened to exactly what I wanted and was able to help direct me to an itinerary that made sense and worked. As far as everything they were responsible for - it all came off without a hitch. We were met by pleasant, knowledgeable guides at every turn and no transfer experienced any problem. The properties recommended were all fantastic and unique in their own way. This was my first time using a service like this where everything was arranged and it was a great help in a place where the remoteness and expansiveness can be daunting.
Out itinerary included 2/3/4 days stays in Cape Town, Victoria Falls and the Mala Mala Game Reserve. They were all highlights but Mala Mala had to be the most memorable. Their variety of animals, ability to get super close and the wide knowledge and experience of their guides makes it hard for other camps to compare. We saw the Big 5 by the end of the second drive and it just got better and better with experiences like chasing a pack of the Cape Wild Dogs through the brush on the hunt - exciting. Did not want to leave. Cape Town is a beautiful city with extraordinary sights - Table Mountain and the Cape as well as great city life. Wine country is only a 90 minute drive or so - incredible vineyards and great wine at extremely reasonable prices compared to the US. Even at less than peak water flow - the Falls are spectacular - I've been told at the highest flow you can't even see across -but it is easy to imagine the power. Great trip.
This trip was a college graduation trip for my daughter. She is a bit of a thrill seeker and the one thing about safaris is they are confining and require alot of sitting. I might have wished for the opportunity to have her do more things - such as the boat ride on the Zambezi or some of the more thrill seeking things at the Falls but that is picking at a very thin thread. The two camps we were at did not offer any real opportunities to view hippos or crocodiles - I am sure harder to do in the dry season - if I do this again - I would try for a camp that offered more water interaction as the Crocodile was the only major African animal I didn't see.
