4 different safaris in the one trip was a bit too much for us .Victoria falls was a great way to start the trip .victoria falls hotel was tops !the travel agent chose 4 different camps , one was below standard others good. more accurate information about visas would have been a good help . All guides were excellent
Helicopter ride over the Victoria Falls, the migration of the wildebeests in Kogatende, being able to see the all big 5 in their natural habitat!Camp in masai mara had a 5 star cook!
We would do the same again except seronera where the cook and camp were disappointing.
TRAVEL COMPANY COMMENTS:
Thank you for your recent review on Zicasso. Client feedback is always greatly appreciated.
We take our client feedback very seriously and have noticed that you gave us a total of 4 stars out of 5. Although a good score, we always like to aim higher than this.
I have noted that you felt that more accurate information with regards to visa requirements would have been more helpful. I did send through a detailed email with regards to each destination and the visas required for both yourself and Mercedes, as well as the costs of these. Although we provide as much information as possible on visas and their costs, it is up to clients to check on these requirements with the relevant embassy as these, along with visa costs, can change at any time. As mentioned all visas would have been issued on arrival at all entry points.
I am so pleased that you enjoyed your time in Victoria Falls and that the helicopter trip over the falls was one of the highlights! That you were able to witness the great migration must have been incredible and an unforgettable experience! I am also glad to hear that the guides throughout your trip were excellent – they are certainly highly experienced and make a huge impact on your overall safari experience.
I have noted that one of the camps were below standard and I am so disappointed to hear of this. It seems that the WIFI at this camp was also faulty during your time here which would have also been impactful. The lodge is family owned and managed, so this is terribly disappointing. We take this very seriously and I am in discussion directly with the lodge to find out what is happening here and are investigating this as a matter of urgency. It is not the sort of standard that we expect and will be taking this further.
With regards to your feedback that it was perhaps too much safari in 1 trip, East Africa and the logistics to get to the best locations and areas (the masai mara and the Serengeti) does include a fair amount of traveling. 3 nights in each location in East Africa is generally the “norm” as the traveling time to each destination can often take a full day. Traveling to the Serengeti is almost a full day of traveling and as arrival is only in the early evening, we usually advise a 3 night stay to try and maximize your safari time, especially over the migration period. I have however noted your comments for future and perhaps we could suggest just to focus on the Northern or the Southern Serengeti (not both).
I am however so pleased that you had a great trip overall Peter and it was a great pleasure assisting you with the travel arrangements.
