OUTSTANDING!! My friend and I had the time of our lives, they made planning a safari so easy and truly go above and beyond. The itinerary was so clear and I appreciated how detailed it was, with park facts, travel tips and recommendations. Having the timing of each day laid out made me feel very comfortable with the itinerary and knew we were in safe hands. They were available when any flight issues arose and provided quick solutions and answers to all my questions. Our driver was so professional and knowledgeable! Having such a friendly driver you are with everyday just made our experience top tier! They were also able to add in a beach vacation in Zanzibar after the safari, complete with airport transfer. The accommodations they recommended exceeded our expectations and we were so happy with our trip.I can't recommend this travel company enough!Show More
We are back and now have survived two days back at work! A sharp (and unfortunate!) contrast to our last two weeks. And, those two weeks are truly memorable. Long and short of it is that the ENTIRE trip went without one hiccup and the experience will be held as a family favourite with many, many special moments sprinkled throughout. Our travel company had thought about and organized everything, thereby creating a very stress free trip for the whole family. Thank you!The properties were all outstanding, truly exceeded all of our expectations. The staff, the rooms, the food were all beyond wonderful. The hospitality overall was super friendly, warm and always demonstrating going above and beyond. And, above all else, our guide was a gem on all counts. He is a man of many skills - car fixing, navigating, birding, wildlife spotting (in an almost inhuman way - how does it do it?!?), kahawa making, knowledge of the culture/region/animals. You name it, he can do it. He answered ALL of our questions, put up with our bad jokes, catered to our kids to ensure they felt included, had tremendous energy at all times of the day regardless of what time he was up in the morning, was fun and warm, but always professional. You have an incredible person on your team who truly made our trip (with a few lions and hippos thrown in there, too).He taught me about the benefits of patience (e.g., waiting for a crossing, I would have long given up, but he waited quietly, sometimes for literally hours - and, yes, then it happened - and well worth the wait). If I could only have a fraction of his patience, I would be a better person! We all miss our guide and I hope we can stay in touch.I shared with our guide that I believe the travel company understated your offering. You and your tailored itinerary really did make a difference and I believe makes this travel team stand out from its competitors. For example:your choice of traveling from North to Central/Eastern Serengeti, then over to Tarangire - makes so much sense!your general avoidance of Central Serengeti (where the vehicles are lined up, sometimes 30 at a time). I loved the fact that our guide took us to rock outcroppings early in the morning and we would be the only people for miles and miles around.Show More
Long ago my husband and I decided to put Africa on our bucket list, but we kept hesitating due to the high cost and long trip. Then 2020 happened. We decided it was now or never so we went to work. I did some research and selected a few Africa specialists and finally settled on Kirsty and her travel company. I liked her right away and she not only knew her stuff (everyone knew their stuff), but she also listened to what we wanted. I liked the fact that she was South African but lived in Canada so it was easier to communicate with her.I booked the trip almost a year in advance and there were several worries along the way. I wasn't sure if we would be able to go given the state of Covid, the state of the world and numerous other obstacles. I felt like a nuisance always sending Kirsty emails asking her this or that, but she always replied to me patiently. She was there for us every step of the way. We didn't have a single issue that she couldn't handle.Show More
This was a trip of a lifetime! We highly recommend this travel agency. We wanted to work with a travel company to plan our adventure - not just take one off the shelf. Dan listened to what we wanted and provided great suggestions that helped us craft our unique trip. His passion for Africa was apparent from our first conversation and talking with him always made us more excited to go. This was our first trip to Africa so we had a lot of questions and Dan helped patiently answer every one.The trip went smoothly, everything was organized by our travel company very well. The flow of our trip was great. All of the food at the camps was delicious! We are vegetarian and had no issue with the quality or quantity of food!Show More
Cannot say enough good things. 5++. Originally I had thought about ending our safari time with a trip to Madagascar, but our travel planner steered us to Zanzibar and that turned out great. When we arrived at Arusha, our greeter met us at the plane doors at the top of the stairs. My wife was having some balance issues, so he helped her down the stairway and commandeered a wheelchair for her. He whisked us through the three health stations and helped retrieve our luggage before we met our driver who sped us off to a coffee lodge. We stayed were a couple of days to accustom ourselves to the time change. Our travel planner saw that we had the cabin closest to the restaurant. They communicated those instructions to the other lodges as well, so my wife didn’t have far to walk to our lodgings. All of the properties we used as safari bases were wonderful. The levels of service were outstanding – the staff couldn’t do enough to ensure we had a great time. Our travel planner had arranged for the same driver/guide to accompany us for the first three lodges. Ali was terrific in adjusting the touring to fit us and in finding game. Besides the usual big five and grazers, we spotted cheetah on the hunt, a python crossing the road, and flamingos (as well as countless other birds). Our favourite of the safari lodges was near the Ngorongoro Crater. Every night we had a fire in the fireplace. After daily safari outings, there was a hot bubble bath with flower petals waiting in the claw-foot tub, and sweet & savoury snacks. The dinners were white table cloth affairs with top-notch cuisine. Our internal flights were well managed. No major snafus. When we arrived at our Serengeti lodge, the welcome was even warmer. We really enjoyed sundowners on the upper terrace, even when a serval jumped on our table and helped himself to a chicken wing. Besides seeing the wildebeest and zebra crossing the Mara River (until the crocs brought one down), a leopard and her two cubs, and a lioness and her four cubs, we finally were lucky enough to see and touch a pangolin. That’s been on my list for a long time. Our final stop on Zanzibar was like a trip to paradise. Every morning we called our butler and let him know what to bring to our sitting room for breakfast. Our bedroom overlooked the Indian Ocean and one of our two plunge pools. We mainly relaxed for five glorious days. Our travel planner had even arranged for a doctor to come and administer our COVID tests in our room so we didn’t need to make the 45 minute journey to the nearest clinic. Usually my wife is ready to return home near the end of a long vacation, but on this trip she agreed that we could stay another week – no problem. If we return to Africa for a fourth safari, we definitely will be calling Danni and Karen .Danni and Karen are a great team.Show More
We started planning our African safari in July 2019 with stops in Johannesburg, Victoria Fall, Safari's in Botswana and 4 days at the end on Cape Town. After working with 2 companies referred by Zicasso, we decided to move forward with this travel agency. Sara and the travel team were fantastic to work with. After finalizing customized itinerary for our "July 2020" safari, we had to regroup due to Covid and travel concerns. Sara worked with us to postpone the trip to July 2022 and made sure that all of our deposits were protected. We regrouped in September 2021 and worked with Sara to fine tune the itinerary and travel dates. Throughout the planning, Sara and her staff were always available to answer our questions and make pivot with us as needed. When an internal airline went bankrupt, Sara was on top of it and made sure that alternative flights were arranged. When we needed to change our original hotel in Cape Town due to renovations, Sara got us rooms at another hotel (which was amazing). A week before our scheduled departure, Sara discovered that the jeep safari would not be available at one of the lodges due to high waters in the Okavango Delta. In 24-hours, she worked with us to rearrange our schedule to add an alternate lodge on the Botetit River where jeep safari's were available. The 3 lodges were fantastic and our guides were amazing. Our tours in South Africa were first class with great guides. We would definitely recommend that you use Sara and our travel company if you are planning a trip to Africa.Show More
Overall a wonderful trip and great arrangements. We had a few confusions between the provided itinerary and what was communicated to the local group but we were able to work that out on the ground. Company was very responsive in setting up arrangements. I was disappointed with one of the lodgings they had arranged and will provide that feedback to them directly.Show More
If you are considering an outfitter to plan a trip to Africa, I cannot express strongly enough how much you should consider this travel agency! I just returned from a 2-week “trip of a lifetime” safari that was originally scheduled to start one-week before the global lockdown. My travel planner had created the most incredible trip to Tanzania to see the Serengeti and then to Rwanda to see the mountain gorillas. I was not sure how they would be able to handle the lock-down given the unknowns of travel for an unknown period of time. The long-term nature of this travel company's relationships with their vendors coupled with the professionalism and integrity of their company resulted in the trip being rescheduled (a few times) without really any increase in costs and at the same exceptional accommodations and itinerary. The camps I stayed at were exquisite (5 star) and gave me such a personal feel of different ways to experience the Serengeti. The personal guides in both Tanzania and Rwanda were beyond my expectations in their knowledge, passion, and dedication to supporting an exceptional client experience. Additionally, this travel company demonstrated at every step of the trip their personal commitment to ensure I felt safe and secure (given Covid concerns/requirements and unfamiliarity with the countries), and supported 24/7 with every question, no matter how small or large. I hope to return to Africa again… and I would ONLY use this travel company. Please consider them… and just give them a call. From the very first contact, I knew this was the company with whom I wanted to build my trip of a lifetime adventure.Show More

Tanzania & Kenya Vacation Review: Safari, 10-Day Tour
Kenya & Tanzania Vacation Review: Amboseli National Park, Maasai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Zanzibar, Stone Town, Safari
February 2021, I submitted a request through Zicasso to plan a group trip to Kenya,Tanzania and Zanzibar for June 2022. I was matched with Maurice. This travel company has surpassed our expectations and provided an amazing experience we will never forget. The camps were top rated, and we had a fantastic time there. In fact, all the accommodations we stayed at were phenomenal. They were beautiful, clean, each room had an amazing view, the staff were very attentive, and the food was top notch. Maurice even planned a few surprises for our group along the way.
Maurice booked all of our in-country transfers (both by car and plane). All we had to do was show up at the lobby of each accommodation at the time specified and everything else was taken care of. Our drivers were exceptional as well. We spent time in Amboseli National Park, Maasai Mara, the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and ended on the beach of Zanzibar. Our drivers at Amboseli had many years’ experience, they were very knowledgeable about all of the animals. Within 5 minutes landing at the air strip, they took us straight to see many of the animals, especially a family of cheetahs eating their prey! Our drivers at the Maasai Mara were great as well. We told him we wanted to see a lots of lions and they didn’t disappoint. On our morning game drive, we saw lions feasting on a buffalo, we also saw a leopard with a vulture in a tree. Our drivers in the Serengeti & Ngorongoro were excellent as well, they took us to all the best locations to capture the animals. We were even able to catch a glimpse of a rhino in the distance. They did their best to ensure we were able to see the big 5 and the ugly 5. We then ended the trip visiting Zanzibar’s beaches, a spice tour & Stone Town.
I highly recommend using Maurice and this travel company for travel tours, safaris and vacations in the future and look forward to working with him again! Asante sana!
