Day 1
Board your overnight Transatlantic flight.

Day 2
Arrive in Munich
On arrival in Munich you will be met and transferred to your hotel. There is time to relax before you meet your tour director and fellow travlers in the bar for a Welcome Drink.

Day 3
Munich, Germany
A morning tour shows you Marienplatz, the Hofbrauhaus, and the Olympic Stadium. This afternoon get into the holiday spirit exploring one of the city's favorite Christmas markets. Seek out fine handcrafted items while warming yourself with roasted chestnuts. Be sure to taste the famous lebkuchen and gluhwein. Tonight you might want to try typical Bavarian cuisine and visit one of the many festive beer halls.

Munich's traditional Christmas market - whose roots go back to the 14th century - is held on Marienplatz in the heart of the city centre. The justly popular Kripperlmarkt, one of the largest in Germany to specialise in cribs and other Nativity accessories, is a short walk away on nearby Rindermarkt. Day 4
Munich/Nuremberg
Leaving Munich, your first stop today is in Augsburg to admire its town hall and visit the Christmas market. Then follow the road to Rothenburg with it ramparts and towers, cobbled lanes and 500-year-old homes. There is plenty of time to admire the Christmas shops and markets with their figurines and handicrafts. Later, continue to Nuremburg.

Day 5
Nuremberg
This city provides the backdrop for the world's largest Christmas market, with its assortment of toys, angels, ornaments, dolls, dollhouses and elicious homemade gingerbread. Enjoy a walking tour of the pedestrian-only center, taking in the highlights, before visiting the market. These is plenty of time to shop and explore on your own.

Day 6
Nuremberg/Strasbourg, France
Head to Heidelberg. Stop at its red-walled castle to visit the inner courtyard and ancient cellars, and to admire the Great Vat - giant wine barrel constructed in 1751. There's time to shop for Christmas decorations before following the Rhine Valley to France. Enter the Alsace region and its capital, Strasbourg, renowned for its lively Christmas markets. Strasbourg has one of the largest and oldest (430+ years) Christmas markets in France. It’s setting in front of Strasbourg Cathedral is spectacular. You must also visit La Petite France - a cozy neighborhood of timbered fairy-tale buildings with Christmas shops and a gingerbread bakery.

Day 7
Strasbourg
Sightseeing today features the Gothis cathedral, the merchant houses, Place Gutenberg, and the picturesque quarter of "Le Petite France." Then board a glass-roofed boat for a cruise through the city's many canals.

Day 8
Strasbourg/Munich, Germany
Back into Germany via Freiburg. Enjoy a drive to Lindau, where there is plenty of time to explore. Reach Munich later for a Farewell Dinner.
