Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

Depart from home.

Day 2

You skip forward a day while crossing the international dateline. Don't worry, you don't lose a day, you get it back on your way home.

Day 3

Arrive in Fiji, clear immigration and claim your luggage, and prepare to be swept off your feet. First, our greeters meet you as you exit baggage claim with leis and cold towels and Fiji water. Then you are transferred to Denarau Marina in a private car to await boarding on Captain Cook Cruises "Reef Endeavour"; an intimate 63 cabin small ship that can navigate in close to the many islands in the Yasawa group. The cruise begins with a visit to the private island of Tivua where you can swim, explore and relax before our Welcome Dinner.

Day 4

Over the next thee days you will explore a thriving island village, visit a handicraft market and experience the Fijian culture first hand at the meke and lovo feast. As you cruise the spectacular passage from Yaqeta Island to the Yasawa’s northern reaches, the vista is ever changing. From long tranquil aquamarine lagoons to imposing volcanic peaks, the Northern Yasawa Islands reveal Fiji’s true natural beauty.

Day 5

We should mention also your accommodation aboard the Reef Endeavor. Occupying the top floor, Deck A, the four Tabua Suites include a bedroom with separate lounge, chair, desk, LCD screen & DVD player, refrigerator, tea & coffee facilities and second bathroom.

Day 6

Nearly everything is included in a Captain Cook Cruise. All meals, daily island stopovers & water activities, guided island, village & school tours, snorkeling & glass bottom boat tours, use of snorkelling equipment & gym, tropical island lovo feast & kava ceremony, entertainment, and a 24 hour self-service tea & coffee bar. Tonight is the last night aboard ship and it's a special one of course, as tonight we offer our special Captain's Dinner. Every night you get a special sunset.

Day 7

Today we disembark and are met again by our private car for the trip back to the airport followed by a scheduled flight to the island of Tavenuni. There, we'll be met by Qamea (gah may ah) staff who will drive us around the island to Qamea's waiting motorboat for the 30 minute ride across the channel to Qamea Island, where Qamea's friendly staff will be waiting on the pier singing welcoming Fijian songs.

Day 8

The Robb Report named it one of the Top Ten Hideaway Resorts in the World, while Conde Nast made it a finalist for the Most Excellent Romantic Hideaway award. Either way, there is no question but that Qamea the resort is the jewel of Fiji’s northern islands. The island, also called Qamea, is a breathtakingly beautiful island of lush green jungle clad hills and white sand beaches, one of the few nice beaches in the northern islands.

Day 9

Your accommodation at Qamea is a Beachfront Bure (boo ray). A "bure" is the Fijian word for house, and these are in the traditional style with thatch roofs, 20' tall open beam ceilings with intricate rope work, polished hardwood floors, four poster bed, extra large bathroom with both indoor and outdoor showers, and just steps from Qamea's lovely white sand beach.

Day 10

Qamea is located in the Northern Island group. These are the garden islands with lush jungle, waterfalls, and some of the most pristine reefs found anywhere. In fact scuba divers come here from all over the world for some of it's most famous dive sites, but even if you aren't a scuba diver, the snorkeling is just plain fantastic.

Day 11

Qamea also has a jungle spa situated on the edge of a tropical jungle with five individual treatment bures, and the sounds of the Pacific Ocean intermingled with a myriad of native jungle birds singing, our professionally trained spa therapists will lull you into a well deserved sense of comfort and relaxation.

Day 12

Your vacation package includes all meals at Qamea, and lots of included activities. Every day when you come to the restaurant for your morning coffee you'll see a new activities board with all the day's planned events listed, most of which are included. Do as much or as little as you want. There's always something to do though, don't worry about being bored.

Fly home in the evening.
