Day 1
The city of Venice embodies luxury that reflects the prestige of the former Republic. Marble palaces rise above the winding canals and the Ducal Palace exudes the power exuding from the seat of the former ruler. The city defies convention with modern art galleries that contrast the historic design of the architecture and the beaches along the Lido that reflect the faded allure of the Art-Deco aesthetic. As your plane touches down in this vibrant Italian city, you will only need to collect your baggage and clear customs before your private transfer greets you at the airport. Together, you will travel into Venice by boat and arrive at your luxurious hotel.

You can relax on the shores, enjoy delightful authentic cuisine, and delight in the preserved traditions as you discover the distinctive similarities and dynamic differences between the countries sharing the same waters.
Beginning in the canals of Venice for three nights, your trip will first capture your heart with a moonlit gondola ride, the cobblestone alleyways, and the intricately adorned Venetian masks. Wandering between historical landmarks and hidden corners, you will experience the romance that has captivated visitors in Venice for centuries venturing from the Doge’s Palace to the island of Murano, St. Mark’s Basilica to the Brenta Canal.
Traveling first to the seaside Italian town of Bari for two nights, you will experience a dramatically different side of Italy. Puglia cuisine and the regionally distinct architecture illustrate the charm of a more rural lifestyle. With a stomach filled with fresh fish and innumerable olives, you will then travel to Olympia for two nights where you will marvel at the commanding power of the Greek gods who inspired both the games and the surrounding sensational architecture. This will only be contrasted with the sheer opulence of neighboring Ephesus, Europe’s single largest excavated ancient metropolis.
