Day 1:

Airport reception and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at the Liberty Palace Hotel, breakfast included - 2 nights.

Day 2:

Day at leisure. An optional city tour can be arranged (not included in trip cost). (B)

Day 3:

Belo Horizonte – Congonhas – São João del Rei – Tiradentes
Depart in the morning to Congonhas. Visit the prophets of soapstone, made by the well-known artist Aleijandinho. Continue to São João del Rei. Visit the Saint Francis of Assisi Church, the Railroad Museum, and the Our Lady del Pilar Church. After lunch, continue to Tiradentes. Overnight at a Tiradentes hotel, breakfast included. (B,L)

Day 4:

Tiradentes – Mariana – Ouro Preto
Visit Tiradentes and continue to Ouro Preto, via Mariana. Lunch. Overnight at an Ouro Preto hotel, breakfast included. (B,L)

Day 5:

Ouro Preto – Belo Horizonte – Brasilia
In the morning, you will visit Ouro Preto and its historical monuments. After lunch, transfer to the airport in Belo Horizonte. Fly to Brasilia. Airport reception and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at the Alvorada Park Hotel, breakfast included - 2 nights. (B,L)

Day 6:

Depart for a city tour, visiting the Monumental Axis, the Cathedral, the Government Palace, the Congress and Ministries Buildings, and the TV Tower. Rest of the day at your leisure. (B)

Day 7:

Brasilia - Salvador
After breakfast, transfer to the airport. Fly to Salvador. Airport reception and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at the Pestana Bahia, breakfast included - 2 nights. Rest of the day at your leisure. (B)

Day 8:

Morning historical city tour. Salvador is one of the oldest cities in Brazil, and is famous for its unspoiled colonial architecture and rich local folklore. Salvador, built on two levels and connected by a series of elevators, is home to a reported 365 churches. With your guide you'll explore the narrow streets of this "living museum". Return to your hotel. Your afternoon is free to explore on your own, and in the evening you may wish to dine in one of the many local restaurants and sample the unique african-bahia cuisine, found only in this region of Brazil. (B)

Day 9:

Day 9: Departure
At the appropriate time, you will be picked up at your hotel and transferred to the airport. (B)
