Travel Review: Top Galapagos Cruise Vacation by An Expert Agent - Islands, wildlife, Ecuador, etc.

Wendy's Review
Our trip was exceptional! The Ecuador travel agency secured a "2 for 1" deal for us that made this an affordable vacation. Initially, we were booked in one of the smaller cabins, but because the cruise was not fully occupied, we were "upgraded" to a bigger cabin on the same deck. This definitely enhanced my enjoyment of the trip. The accommodations on the Evolution were clean, roomy, but slightly dated and a little worn. None of that really mattered to us. The food was surprisingly healthy and all the passenger's dietary restrictions were met deliciously!
Our hotel in Guayaquil was fine and I think the best choice for us, both luxury( 3 stars at most) and location. Airport transfers were fine, but we were unaware that the hotel provided transportation to the airport, so we spent extra money on a personal transfer service.
Visiting the Galapagos Islands is a once in a lifetime opportunity. The sea, land and plant life were all extraordinary.
I would have made sure that our cabin was nicer. We had originally asked the Ecuador travel agency if we could upgrade to the Superior Cabins on "A" deck, but were told that they were sold out. In fact, there was an empty cabin there, which was later occupied by the ship's Captain's family, who joined us later. I'm not sure if this was a planned reservation for them or if they joined us because there was an empty cabin. I am also aware that I got a special deal at the last minute, so I shouldn't complain. I would not have opted for the private airport transfer had I known that the hotel offered that service.
