My wife and I spent 10 days in France with our 12-year-old granddaughter. The trip was planned -- meticulously -- by Laurie with this France tour operator, and the plans -- all the drivers, guides, tickets, hotels and other details -- unfolded flawlessly. Laurie spent a good deal of time trying to figure out, and helping us to figure out, what we wanted to do, and when. She accommodated our many requests and concerns -- no rental car; museums, but not too many; trip in mid-July, on the eve of the French holiday, when many things close down; most of the time in Paris, but some time on the Riviera and in the Loire Valley; medium-price hotels with rooms for 3; free time in most afternoons and evenings; etc. -- the makings of a jig saw puzzle, nicely fitted together by her for a very enjoyable trip.
Medieval cities outside Nice; Louvre; culinary walk through Villers neighborhood; castles in Loire Valley; free time in Paris
Not much,maybe identifying one or two specific, high-quality restaruants near our hotel and open during the "holiday" (we found two, but both were closed).
