Travel Review: Customized Honeymoon to Bali and South Korea - Perfect Balance of Activities and Relaxation

Hege U. (hege)

Hege's Review

What are your overall comments on the trip and travel company?

We had an amazing honeymoon and we are overall very happy with the itinerary that this Indonesia travel agency put together for us. We worked with Suzie, our travel agent for weeks going back and forth until we felt like we had the perfect itinerary. It ended up being pretty much perfect, (despite a little more rain than we would have preferred, but nothing to do about that!), and we had the perfect balance of activities and relaxation.

Our local guide that Suzie arranged for us was wonderful - so knowledgeable, personable and overall a very nice guy! It was great to have a driver and a guide that took us from place to place, it made the transition smooth and still enjoyable while going from one place to another.

The Komaneka (Ubud) and the Samaya (Seminyak) resorts were both fantastic and the service was excellent!!

Overall, we are very satisfied with the trip and the service provided by this Indonesia travel agency

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

Among our favorites were the Balinese cooking class, the white water rafting and the hike to Mount Batur. Another highlight was the surf lesson at the Quiksilver surf school. We actually went back for a second lesson the next day and had a blast. Other memorable parts were the Balinese culture and people - so friendly, polite and passionate about their traditions. And I loved the beautiful flowers everywhere - the "plumeria" flower was my absolute favorite and I wore one to dinner almost every night!

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

We would split the time evenly between Ubud and Seminyak and skip Nusa Dua all together. Although a very beautiful beach, and very relaxing atmosphere, Nusa Dua was not very exciting. Also, we wish our travel agent had told us to bring really warm clothes for the hike, because it was freezing on the top of the mountain.
