The hotels and guides were excellent - first class all the way. No one got sick and everyone was comfortable. This Ecuador travel company did an excellent job. We had one family member who missed her flight and they made sure she got to the boat the next day. They kept in contact with everyone and made me feel that everything was taken care of.
We loved swimming with the sea turtles in the Galapagos Islands! The white water rafting trip down the Urubamba was a lot of fun too. Our guide liked to sing and told us interesting stories. The restaurants in Ecuador and Peru were great! I even tried Guinea Pig which was very tasty.
I would probably do two separate trips - galapagos and Peru since we were exhausted afterwards. Also, the trip from Cuzco to the Sacred valley was rough (the roads are bad and the drivers are aggressive on the narrow roads) and since we went there every day for three days it might have been better to stay in a hotel in the Sacred Valley and just do a day trip to Cuzco.
