Excellent recommendations that enabled us to see as much as possible within 10 days. Hotel recommendations were perfectly matched based on location, price, and history. The Croatia travel agency immediately took care of the only problem we experienced, and resolved the issue by making sure our rental car was quickly replaced, with a new car, at a our convenience.
Personal and guided tours of Dubrovnik and the Dalmation Coast, Hvar town, Plitvice, Dubrovnik, and Zagreb were particularly memorable. The extremely personable Zagreb tour guide (Mr. Zarko Gazzari) was awesome, and brought the history to life. The people of Croatia are very friendly, and helped us get back on track whenever we were lost. Our travel agent, Vlasta, was exceptional and helped us every step of the way. We loved the food (all kinds of spaghetti and pizza) and Croatian beer. Our favorite hotels were in Dubrovnik, Hvar, Zagreb, Plitvice, and Venice.
We'd spend one more day in Hvar town, as the time there was rushed. We'd also spend less time in Rovinj. We would definitely ensure we have a working telephone for use in Croatia and Italy, and we'd bring GPS and maps. Our iphone did not work at all in Croatia, except at free wi-fi spots, which were very hard to find.
