Travel Review: Cultural Argentina Tour with Breathtaking Glaciers

Mary Anne P. (Mary Anne Pace)

Mary Anne's Review

What are your overall comments on the trip and travel company?

The people who assisted at every level were very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. The planning process was flexible, the transportation from the airports to the hotels and reverse was great, the hotels were confortable, clean, and run by very friendly people. My only problem was the lack of air conditioning or even a fan in Beriloche and El Calafate. I know that these areas are generally temperatures that do not require AC, but we had some warm days and little circulation in the rooms made it difficult for me to breath. All travel arrangements were complete except for the very end when we returned to BA to fly home and did not have a transfer to the International Airport from the domestic airport. We took a taxi, but according to preplanning, a transfer was to be included.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

Salta was my favorite of the towns outside of BA. Our day trips out of Salta, Bariloche, and El Calafate were all great experiences that gave us a feel for the country. The glaciers out of El Calafate were breath taking.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

A few more days would have been good for us. There was a lot of air travel and little time to let down and enjoy local appeal. We would not give us the tours, but would add a relaxation day now and then.
