This was a trip of a lifetime and one that we will forever be glad we made. This China tour was PERFECT for the three of us (me, my husband, and our adult son). Our schedules didn't permit us to join a scheduled group tour, so we opted for a custom private tour with a local guide and driver in each of the four cities we visited (Beijing, Xi'an, Guilin, and Shanghai). Every step of the process was handled with utmost professionalism by the staff in Canada and the staff on the ground in China. We could not be happier. I would recommend this China tour operator to absolutely anyone wishing to visit China.
The most memorable highlights of our tour of China included walking on the Great Wall (unforgettable and utterly amazing), listening to the retired citizens singing and playing instruments in the parks in Beijing, seeing the Terra Cotta Warriors in Xi'an, meeting a farm widow in her home outside of Yangshuo, the gorgeous scenery on the Li River cruise followed by the incredible Impression Liusanjie light and sound show on the river in Yangshuo, climbing up to the village of PingAn to see the terraced rice fields, and seeing the impressive skyline and experiencing the cosmopolitan atmosphere in Shanghai. We were warmly received by our Chinese guides, all of whom were excellent, and virtually every person we met. We really enjoyed our guides--they were great.
Honestly, the only possible thing would be to have one more day in Xi'an. Given the constraints of our schedule, however, I wouldn't change one single thing. We were completely impressed with this China tour operator and the tour they planned for us.
