Travel Review: Luxury Family Vacation to Italy - Venice, Florence and Tuscany, Rome, Pompeii, Amalfi Coast, wine tours

Ann M's Review
I chose Daniela of this Italy Travel Agency to plan our vacation. We spoke for a long time, I told her all I wanted, hoped for, expected, and my budget for a "Trip of a Lifetime" to Italy, for my family, (me, my husband and two teenagers) We continued to talk and email and after a little tweaking, she prepared a personalized itinerary for us. We would visit Venice, Florence, Rome and Sorrento.
When we arrived in Italy we were met by a driver and for the next 13 days, in each City we visited, we were attended by private drivers and guides. All of whom were timely, professional, knowledgable and fun. Our accommodations were excellent, we had reservations for all of the tours, sightseeing, and activities, as well as several meals, all of it being included in the the total cost of the vacation. Daniela checked on us regularly during our time in Italy, and responded quickly when my husband became ill and was hospitalized overnight in Rome. Our guides stayed with us the entire day and returned the next morning to assist in his discharge.
Our trip to Italy was wonderful. We attribute this to Daniela's amazing knowledge of her homeland, Italy, and how to enjoy it, of the accommodations, places of interest, museums, activities, restaurants, sub contractors, etc. etc. etc., from all over the country, which she uses well to provide outstanding services to her clients. And, when you think she can do no more, she adds caring, kindness and compassion. Bravo to this most accomplished woman.
Most everyday we were in Italy was memorable. My favorite, (Mom), was Florence, the Cathedral , the Duomo , the Museums and Galleries, the Gates of Paradise, I could go on and on, and I certainly did not see a quarter of all there is to admire. We all loved our day to the Tuscan countryside, the lovely villages, the vineyards and fabulous meal at a winery. The cooking classes were a big hit too. Rome at night was spectacular, Sorrento and the Amalifi coast are so very beautiful. All in all, a truly remarkable and marvelous experience. The history, art and architecture, food and wine, etc, etc, but mostly the graciousness of the Italian people will live long in our memories.
Since this was our first trip to Italy, we wanted to see as much as possible. Next time, I think, we will spend more time in Florence and Rome, wind down in Sorrento and probably skip Venice.
How did you find out about Zicasso?
I came upon Zicasso while searching online for a travel agent to help plan our trip to Italy. It was pure serendipity, (just good luck), and I will consider it as such. I will recommend Zicasso to anyone I know looking for travel planning help.
