Rwanda was our highlight and we would not have even considered it if it wasn't for our awesome African safari travel company and Alana. Based on our needs, she made a ton of recommendations, rather than just accommodating what we wanted. Her expertise was crucial.
We went to South Africa, Rwanda & Kenya. We thoroughly loved Rwanda. Amazing spirit in the people despite the atrocities not so long ago, and stunning scenery full of hill. And trekking the Gorillas was amazing!
Not much... maybe not get sick in the beginning if we could help it! Also, going to S Africa first ended up being the smart move. Cape Town was a pretty city, but wasn't awe-inspiring for us. Going to Rwanda and then safari in Kenya was definitely the way to end the trip.
