Vietnam Highlights
This short days is made up of all of the famous highlights of Vietnam. Start in Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, in the South of Vietnam. Visit the tunnels that were used by the Vietcong during the war. The fly to Central Vietnam, where you visit the imperial city of Hue and the picturesque town of Hoi An, a designated World Heritage Site. The trip ends in the capital, Hanoi from where you make an excursion to the Halong Bay.

Detailed Itinerary
At the airport you will be met by your driver and guide. You will start your visit of Vietnam with a short city tour. After lunch in a local restaurant you will visit Cholon, the Chinese quarter, the Thien Hau and Giac Vien pagodas, and stroll through the immense Binh Tay Market. After lunch we continue with a visit of the Reunification Palace, the residence of the presidents of South Vietnam, before 1975.

Overnight Le Duy Hotel - HCM City
This morning you will be picked up by your private guide and driver. Along the way we will stop at a small rice paper factory.
Drive to the Cu Chi Tunnels. During the Vietnam war the Vietcong dug out an extensive tunnelcomplex that served as a sanctuary in the fight against American forces. Part of the complex has been left in its original state. You can crawl through these tunnels, a harrowing experience indeed.
After the mass has finished you will have lunch at the Anh Thanh Thao restaurant.
Transfer to Tan Son Nhut Airport for the late flight to Danang.

From Danang airport it's only a short drive to Hoi An, the picturesque port formerly known as Faifo.

Overnight Hoi An Hotel - Hoi An
Hoi An, formerly known as Faifo, is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. Hoi An has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1999.
Today you will explore this charming little town by foot with your private guide . You will visit, amongst others, the Museum of History and Culture, the Tam Ky house, the Japanese bridge and the Fujian Assembly Hall. Lunch will be at a local restaurant serving the delicious dish "Cao Lao".
Afternoon free at leisure.

Overnight Hoi An Hotel - Hoi An
After breakfast you will be picked up at the hotel by your guide and driver. Visit Marble Mountains and the famous Cham Museum in Danang. This museum displays artefacts from the culture of Champa. We continue our drive to Hue. Drive to Hue over the Hai Van Pass from where you have fantastic views over the South China Sea. In the afternoon we will enjoy a seafood lunch at a restaurant at Lang Co. After arrival in Hue you will visit the Forbidden Purple City, constructed under Emperor Gia Long's reign in the early 19th century AD. It's located inside the Citadel of Hue, which was badly damaged during the Tet offensive in 1968.
Dinner and overnight Asia Hotel - Hue
Your guide and driver will transfer you to the boatlanding where you will board a dragon boat for a pleasant boat trip on the Perfume River. You will visit the characteristic Tien Mu Pagoda and the tombs of the emperors Minh Mang and Khai Dinh.
After lunch in a local restaurant transfer to Phu Bai airport.

Dinner and overnight Platinum Hotel - Hanoi
You will be picked up by your private guide and driver and embark on a citytour of Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam.
This morning you will visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum. Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum is one of the most important and visited sites in Vietnam, a pilgrimage site where "respect" and "reverence" are the key words.
You won't be allowed in, unless dressed appropriately (no t-shirts or shorts) and cameras/bags have to be deposited before entering. (Please note that the Mausoleum and Museum are closed in October, November and December).
After lunch at Koto's restaurant you will visit the Temple of Literature (Van Mieu) and explore the Old Quarter of Hanoi by bicycle taxi (cyclo).
Overnight Platinum Hotel - Hanoi
Your private guide and driver will pick you up for your day trip to magical Halong Bay.
Early departure for the two hour drive to Halong Bay. Board you private boat for a four hour cruise through Halong Bay. we will visit Dinh Huong Island, Ga Choi Island, Dog Island, Sail Island, visit Sung Sot cave and swim at Titov beach. Enjoy a seafood lunch on board. Return to Halong City and drive back to Hanoi.
Overnight Platinum Hotel - Hanoi
Early rise to enjoy the early spectacle of exercising locals around the Hoan Kiem Lake. After breakfast make a tour of the Old Quarter by cyclo and do some last minute shopping before the transfer to Noi Bai Airport.
